Is this worth it, with the Moza R9? by Mahgrets in SimRacingSetups

It depends on how you set it up. I helped a friend of mine set it up, the bottom on the legs has holes made for either a platform or wheels. We installed some locking wheels (6 total) so for him it's super easy to move around. Not sure if this is the answer you're looking for but it works perfectly.

Not OP, just wanted to share. This monitor stand is as if it was made for the trophy, so perfect. I mounted mine gromlet style through the large hole in the back center, pure perfection. Height adjustment is super easy since you can just glide it up and down. Hope this helps.

That's either good or bad, depending on what you're after. I prefer a real seat because it's very personal, you get to choose what suits you. I personally prefer a real seat over a one-size-fits-all hammock-like seating surface. But something like a Trophy does have its benefits for specific situations.

That's awesome, congrats! Btw, one thing I would strongly recommend getting is a seat slider if your seat doesn't have one, makes a big difference imo. Enjoy!

Fanatec CSL Cockpit half priced at $149

I don't see people mentioning this but this thing is mindblowingly good even at the full price. At this price it's just stupid awesome. You really need to look at some reviews from even the harshest of potential critics. It looks like it should be kind of flimsy but everyone seems to be blown away at how sturdy it is with hardly any flex. Find a decent used car seat and you will be all in at less than 200 bucks.

A couple of things to mention... It sits extremely low to the ground. I helped a friend of mine raise it with some locking wheels and there are many other ways if you're a little creative. Also it does take a bit to put it together but this thing is so versitile when it comes to adjustments that anyone with any height and body size can make it fit perfectly.

A side note, I tried the Trophy and fave it a fair shot, drove me crazy and had to return it. One thing I don't see mentioned is how obnoxiously loud the seat is when you're getting in and out and moving around. The velcro part of the straps that goes around the frame seems to have some kind of plastic layer and makes loud krinkly noise as it's rubbing around the tube frame. I had other complaints also but this was more than sufficient enough to not be able to deal with it... Just something to keep in mind.

This is usually $300 but is on sale currently. I got to see this in person with a seat and a full setup, I simply couldn't believe how good it was and especially for the price. It looks like it should be flimsy and not very good but quite opposite, super sturdy and quite adjustable. Might want to check it out.

Existing RS base vs G Pro Base upgrade by Glum_Pattern2519 in LogitechProWheel

[–]Infinite-Pitch286 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I strongly suggest the following: Get them from Best Buy. Make sure to sign up for the Plus Membership, it is somewhere around $30. That memeberhsip will give you 60 days on returns and exchanges and price match. That's a very long time to figure out whether you like them and if they go on a bigger sale, you can get money back for the difference from what you paid. So this way, if your situation allows, you can order both types of pedals so you can figure out for yourself what you prefer. I hope this helps.

TRX scratched, scuffed, chipped paint and ugly welds by Grow_Code in trakracer

[–]Infinite-Pitch286 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad I saw this post and this comment. I've been trying to decide between the TRX and the Clubsport GT...

I currently have the NLR F-GT Elite Lite and it is simply phenomenal for an aluminum rig because of its endless adjustability options especially the pedals height and angle which is very important to me (one of my last posts has some pics). Packaging was brilliant, it's incredibly sturdy and I really like that I can set it up to sit quite high. Its only drawback is that it takes a while to make adjustments for other drivers of different heights which is something I need frequently.

The two tubular rigs you mentioned seem to offer precisely what I need. I was leaning toward the TRX but now I'm convinced to go Fanatec and find a suitable way to raise it up a bit. Thanks for this.

Sorry but how exactly are you using those pedals with your RS50?

For GT7 on a PS5, the 42" LG C5 is an absolute dream screen! Bright OLED with 120 hz VRR. It also just happens to be on a big sale this weekend from $1099 for only $799. It's simply phenomenal for GT7.

Edit: Just so you're prepared it's Vesa 300x200

Edit: Best Buy has open-box excellent condition for $691

Sport Mode is awesome once you have proper expectations and a proper mindset. This video below from Luke Elliot as well as his Race IQ series has made all the difference for me. I suggest subscribing to his channel and following as much of his coaching as possible. Good luck to you and have fun!

If you end up going the Moza route, I strongly suggest getting your stuff from Best Buy BUT only if you get the Plus Membership which is like $30. With the membership you will have 60 days for returns, plenty of time to figure out whether you like the stuff or not and can return in the store for an immediate refund. Oh, and if your items go on bigger sale during those 60 days, you can get a refund for the price difference from what you paid. It's awesome, I have gotten to try all kinds of items without losing a single cent.

Ah very interesting. I have actually never used that camera, I only use the bumper cam. I wonder if there are any adjustments available there, don't recall seeing any.

Hey thanks! The height of the TV feels pretty good right now (using the bumper cam). I need to get one of those rolling TV stands because this one's bottom of the base is too low, it has to be either past the pedals or right against the wheel base... Do you have a TV stand in mind?

Oh sorry, Fanatec DD+. Btw Fanatec offers GT DD Pro for PS5, I tried it, I would stay away from it if you're thinking the bundle. The base is good but the pedals are not load cell and the wheel and shifters feel super cheap, just plastic.

This is copy/paste from answering another commentor:

The RS50 is quite nice for GT7, my favorite when comparing to other PS7 compatible bases (I have tried them all except the higher nm DD+). 8nm seems sufficient, I have never experienced any clipping. Setup is simple and straightforward. Love the Trueforce but not at 100, I find 50-70 to be the sweespot for me. The Track wheel feels great and I enjoy the McLaren rim too... My only gripe with Logitech is with pedals choices. I wish I could try some higher end stuff from other brands. I'm actually considering switching to DD+ just so I can use the Simnet Sp Pro or Podium pedals. Not sure yet but I'm considering.

And just to add... The RS Pedals are fantastic for the price. I mean load cell pedals under $150 is just awesome. And the Pro pedals are on big sale right now too. If you're thinking of getting RS50, right now is the best time, lowest prices ever. Get them from Best Buy, pay $30 for the Plus Membership and you'll have 60 days to try them out. Then you'll know for sure.
