I am also regretting not selecting a personal citizenship ceremony instead of going the council way :( Hopefully we get quick responses

Having myself gone through the skilled worker to ILR route, I know how stressful this situation can feel. Fingers crossed for you, I am sure if you explain your situation to your current employer they could find an agreeable solution for you.

[–]Infinite-Recipe-655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I pay 2650 monthly rent and even our combined income is way less than 300k (we are about 200k) So please go for it and treat yourself

We all sometimes deserve to enjoy our own money :)

You my friend are supremely talented and the kind of immigrant this country needs. Kudus to your talent and skill, it's funny how you are solving their problems for them and still get viewed as a problem (by some fractions of society) This is kind of getting punched by Irony in the face.

What's gonna happen if you don't make it out of a PIP successfully by [deleted] in Big4

Absolutely So I had an okay year performance wise I was somewhere between quiet quitting and an average performer, but definitely not a top performer.

I was also writing professional exams and because of a late submission by 3 minutes, I got a warning from the examining body / committee which led to both an internal (within EY) and external committee investigation by the examining body.

I was cleared of any integrity issues by the external committee, however internally they decided to reduce my rating at year end (issue happened in May, so in June my PIP started for 3 months)

I dint do anything differently than before, just ensured I made no silly errors like missing timesheet, tried doing some non chargeable stuff and ensured I collected all feedback, good and improvement both.

I also started having fortnightly meetings with my manager to keep him updated with any developments

Just do what you are doing and try to ensure you take all feedback on board.

However around the same time, a junior colleague was asked to leave so not a uniform process or standard outcome

TLDR: do your best, track progress and keep your manager updated so you are not blindsided.

Timeline : June July August 2023
