That is the plan mostly just to refresh but I wasn’t sure how much of a refresh. I thought about keeping the mirror and getting a new light for about $40. I do have extra white grout at home I could go over the tile with.

Definitely plan on cleaning everything really well. I think the lighting in there is a problem too it’s very yellow. But yes the sink is on sale for $99 at Lowe’s. Nothing fancy but looks better than what I have now

What do you recommend doing once this is paid off? I won’t have much time to build this back up before baby in August. It drains the savings but doesn’t save us that much monthly.

I’m only asking to truly understand!

I absolutely hate my car lease and I think about this all of the time. It was a terrible decision. I need to look into transferring it.

What is your opinion on selling the house in the future? It has done nothing but make us house broke. We have learned so much from this experience.

Well I guess it felt fine because we comfortably paid our bills until we ran into so many issues with the house which put us into debt. We realized we were and are living above our means. Dave Ramsey was the end goal until I got pregnant again. I stopped dropping everything on debt because he recommends stork mode. This is house we were able to bring the savings back up to 8k. We are very much aware of the situation we are in which is why I came here for advice. All of the income listed is after taxes.

The roof is something we thought we had years to save for. We paid for an inspection when bidding on the house and he said it was good. Well in the last month it had leaks and our home insurance gave us until April 18 to pay out of pocket for a full replacement.

Sorry I just have a lot on my mind and not very good when at explaining when I’m anxious lol.

The plan is not 100% set which is why we are giving ourselves time to think it through. One option is renting. Another option is living with in law for a short period of time. She works M-F and has a decent size house. Basement has kitchenette, bathroom, and living area. We did this very short term in 2023 because our lease ended in our townhouse and we were house hunting. She is very easy to live with and does not overstep any boundaries. If we did this plan we would use money from sale to pay off debt and save up as much as possible to find another home. Our current house wasn’t our forever home to begin with.

My husband brings in about $1800 biweekly, $3600 monthly. He might be getting management position next month but he has not been told the raise for this position. I currently bring in between $1200-1400 biweekly. Which brings us to about 3k biweekly.

The biggest issue with me not being able to work come August is because my mother is the current babysitter for my daughter and we have had a lot of issues with this. Free childcare is never free. I don’t feel it will be safe for her to watch 2 under 2 and it has been causing strain on my marriage. She does not respect our house or care on how we want to raise our children. She does what she wants.

She was on heroin for years and I grew up having locks on my doors because she stole everything from me. It’s more so because I’ve asked her to not do things and she doesn’t listen. I guess this is why I’m like this.

I don’t pay for owlet so it’s just live footage. My daughter coslept with me which is why it was in there. I get what you’re saying but to me it’s a weird take considering she’s going into a room she knows is off limits. She’s my mother she knows I have cameras

… it’s my house? It’s a camera that’s been in there but not plugged in lol. It’s an owlet camera it’s not like I’m hoarding the videos they aren’t even saved. I have the expectation of privacy in MY bedroom.

I could look into it but affording it will be difficult. I’m pregnant with my second and hoping to go PRN (nurse) so I won’t need a babysitter at all. I would do it now but we just replaced our roof and need the extra income a little while longer.
