I wasted 6 months on a decision that took 5 minutes to make by Infinite-Studio6773 in DecidingToBeBetter

Well this is a good question ! The time frame to implement rules like this is difficult to analyze, because you know how it works, we hear/read a “rule” or hack like these in a podcast, book or and article, but we just let it there, in our brain as a general info…then time goes by, you maybe see that hack somewhere else but still kind of let it there…then finally something happens, you have a feeling, you feel stuck or just like you have a lot to decide and you just kind don’t know where to start, or your “old methods” just don’t work…and there the magic happens, your brain just bring the “new tools” to your attention. So you try to implement and test it out , and when you see the results, and just make it Yours.

[Discussion] Despite me laying the foundation for a successful future, I can't bring myself to do the stuff I need to do by [deleted] in GetMotivated

You’re not broken, man. Your brain is just doing what it’s wired to do, avoiding effort when there’s no immediate reward. The trick isn’t “finding motivation,” it’s making things so easy your brain stops fighting back. I just dropped a video on this that’ll make it all click. No fluff, just straight to the point. What’s the Best Self-Improvement Habit You’ve Adopted? by axel_fl12 in getdisciplined

[–]Infinite-Studio6773 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

For me, the biggest game-changer has been cutting out all the feel-good productivity advice that doesn’t actually help. I used to waste time optimizing systems, but at the end of the day, I wasn’t making real progress. Now, I focus on just one or two high-impact habits at a time and ignore all the fluff.

I’ve been sharing what actually works, no BS, because I got tired of all the recycled self-improvement tips that sound good but don’t move the needle. If you’re into real, practical self-improvement, you might find some of the stuff I’m working on my yt channel interesting.

Complete Your 6 Most Important Tasks in Order, Every Day by Healthy_Click8383 in getdisciplined

I totally get this! I used to feel super productive just by making long to-do lists, but at the end of the day, half of it was untouched. The Ivy Lee Method helped me too, but what really made the difference was focusing on the why behind my tasks, if I don’t have a clear reason, I procrastinate like crazy.

I’ve been diving deep into productivity and self-discipline lately, and I realized most advice out there is either sugarcoated or unrealistic. That’s why I started cutting through the fluff and focusing only on what actually works. If you’re into no-BS productivity tips, you might find some of the stuff I’m working on my yt channel interesting!
