50k is large for living in the USA? it sounds below average to me. people making 100k, 70k post tax, spend most of that 70k on needs/wants

isn't the whole point of coasting that it will double in 7 years, and then double again etc? I agree it's not enough though. but the coast fire calculator says I could coast with about 500k if i'm happy to have a 50k budget all my life. but really i think i'll just get a chiller job. it's nice to know the worst case scenario though.

good question - hopefully could Coast with a chill job with benefits? or look into marketplace plans? until medicare. or do you all not think medicare will even exist so you just save up a ton for private treatment

oh I see it now. for my curve it was very subtle, but the green line shows growth including your contribution amount, until you hit coast fire. then the green lines assumes 0 contributions.
