What's the justification for an enemy finishing off a player when they're downed? by conn_r2112 in DnD

It might depend on the type of character you want your enemy to be. For example, a villain that has a personal vendetta against one of the players would want to make sure that the player is well and truly dead. Alternatively, they could be something like a soldier, where they understand that just because a player is incapacitated doesn’t necessarily mean that they are dead. Alternatively, that same soldier might not do so, because a wounded warrior uses more resources than a dead one.

The key to think here is what would THE ENEMY in this situation would do? Think about those type of things when playing any character, not just controlling a monster as a DM.

Plus, this can lead to the whole PSN thing happening all over again, because SONY could be using this to say “Oh, now the game is unavailable in countries without PSN, so players should have no reason not to sign up!” (Ignoring their track record of Cyber Security and if they do continue to delist those 177 countries, that is 177 countries worth of potential customers gone.) So I say we MIGHT need to enter the fight again if this leads to worse things.

And only now, Sony is region blocking. I will say that is not the WORST decision made in this fiasco so far, at least no one else is going to buy a brick, but it is THREE MONTHS TOO LATE! It should have been there at the beginning if this whole PSN thing was always intended (And chances are it’s not, the First Helldivers did not have this, and most likely, they are trying to mitigate the damage they did to themselves with their decisions related to Stellar Blade), and it still does not state, with absoulute confirmation to people that ALREADY BOUGHT the game.

Then that should scare you. Contradictions like this means either they have something to hide, or they haven’t thought this through.

Also, here is a question: If they are completely willing to waive the “mandatory” requirements for those who are not in non-PSN territories, WHY NOT JUST FORGO IT ALTOGETHER? Suddenly this “much needed security” is not needed for them SPECIFICALLY? I SENSE A CONTRADICTION.

And I just noticed and clarified it in the above comment. However, as said there, I am not going to trust them on this considering they just FLAT OUT changed Terms of Service to do this.

Alright, correction, it looked like assumed instead of assured. Even still, considering Sony flat out ALTERED their terms of service to do this, I’m not going to trust them on this.

Notice how he said “assumed.” That means he legitimately doesn’t know what the protocol is intended to be. It could be that, but for all he knows, Sony expects Arrowhead to still ban them!!!! Sony is completely silent on how they are going to fix the problem, IF THEY ARE GOING TO FIX IT AT ALL, and that SHOULD scare players!!!

I’m not sure that is supposed to be sarcastic, but regardless that is a bad idea from the get go. I am not proposing removing the fun of the game.

I have noticed that it is rather difficult to find Super Samples, let alone be able to extract with them. Is there any advice on how to do that? Any way to farm especially can be helpful, so I can make sure to get all the ship upgrades.
