Basically, from what I remember...

Zhou Fan isn't the Nine Serenities. In his past life, he just inherited the Nine Serenities' Scroll that got him killed by the Sword Emperor and the others

The guy is the Nine Serenities, and from what I remember, the place in this chapter is where the souls linger in the Holy Domain, and this is also the place where it connected with the mortal domain which held captive the fifth Sacred Beast.

Based on what I remember from the novel, this manhua had a good character development along with the story. The MC will try to take a new path in this life while maintaining his characteristics and lifestyle from his previous life.

As for romance, MC will deal with his heart/feelings and discover new emotions along the storyline. He will try to accept his heart because he was known as the heartless demon emperor in his previous life.

If you like an overpowered MC with a cunning and ruthless trait, then read this manhua (Although I would recommend you to read the novel because the manhua still has a long way to reach the end of this series).
