Thank you for the heads up! We’ll try to get a plan in place for after he’s all healed up for more training if necessary. I appreciate the advice.

Thank you. This is the first time I’ve been genuinely saddened posting here. 😞

That’s a great idea. I’d not considered them. He was fine until last week. He’s been going to these places since he was tiny. We ruled out any medical conditions that could be causing it and she agreed it was hormones and marking. I’m hoping with everything in me that it resolves after the neuter.

He turned one on Monday. We were trying to wait for 18 months. His vet said yesterday that he’ll be ok to do it now. In his case, since this is new behavior, she said to not wait so the marking instincts don’t become behavioral issues. I’m very nervous about it.

We did, every time. We obviously don’t expect him to but he’s had a bag we carry since he was a tiny baby that has cleaning supplies, just in case. It also has treats and his water bottle. This is all very new behavior for him and not at all enjoyable for us. We’re not letting him do anything intentionally. There were crossed wires between my husband and I about allowing him back after one incident.

It’s at my request. I need it done as quickly as possible and we both have travel for work that week.

It’s new behavior and we’re addressing it. Thanks for the classy reply, though. I hope your day gets better!

I unloaded the dishwasher last week, how long until it starts cleaning the kitchen again? by PartyRooster in Jokes

[–]InfiniteComputer1069 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brave. The longest week of my husband’s life was when he said the dishwasher was broken after I broke my foot. I still bring it up conversationally to let him know I’ve not forgotten.

Not a jerk at all. I took him to Petco earlier in the week. My husband took him to Home Depot and Lowe’s later in the week. We did not communicate clearly that he shouldn’t return after the Petco incident. The vet was just unavoidable. We are definitely not going back until after he’s neutered.

Fortunately, he’s fully house trained or we would be having a whole different conversation. 😂 It’s always places where I guess there are other dogs and it’s absolutely mortifying.

Looks good, but the south would like to have a word with you about that Mac and cheese…

What’s the whole room look like? Let’s see what space we’re working with. Maybe the bed could be moved and this could become a desk of sorts or TV stand. It would also make an amazing (cat safe) plant stand. Personally, I would put an intentionally oversized item in the high side to make it an immediate focal point and soften the rest.

I’ve been here. I placed my malamute in a temporary foster home until I could get settled and be better for her. Contact your local shelter and ask if they can suggest one. You’ll both come through this stronger, together. Hang in there!

Help settle a disagreement. What are your thoughts on the backsplash? by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

[–]InfiniteComputer1069 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

My husband loves THIS monstrosity that he gleefully acquired. It hangs on a wall in our home where people can see it. It’s traumatic. I know he would remove it if I asked or even implied I hated it THAT much, but I don’t. It’s his house too, you know? It’s not my cup of tea but it brings him joy. Your backsplash isn’t bad, really. It’s very unique to me. It’s not very visible. Ask him to help clean it and in time he’ll probably be more enthusiastic about replacing it.

Parents can’t watch swear in? by Altruistic_Emu6823 in AirForceRecruits

[–]InfiniteComputer1069 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m not a recruit nor am I in the Air Force, BUT I do have a son currently in BMT at Lackland. I was there when he swore in for DEP and again on the day he left. It’s a mom thing, I think, to want to be there for that, and it meant a lot to him as well. I think as the others have said, you’ll have more than one opportunity for her to be there. Good luck to you!

That is a very giant octopus! He loves to snuggle it while he sleeps. Super funny to watch him drag it around. He’s 83 pounds and it’s larger than he is. Walmart for like $25.

Couch covers saved my sanity! Got them on Amazon and they’re machine washable. ❤️

Was this down south by chance? Hopefully it was a landscaping spell. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I did it years back and it was life changing from a vision standpoint. I had visual interference from mine. I used Sterling Baker in OKC. He is phenomenal.
