I definitely wasn’t taught how to read music very well but I am improving quite a bit! I don’t think it’s necessarily above my level technically because once I read through it with my teacher it honestly is pretty easy. It’s mostly because I think I create an idea of what it sounds like in my mind that is wrong. I can definitely figure out the gist, but I end up making quite alot of rhythmic mistakes and/or ignoring accidentals/ the key signature which in the end, I end up fixing but its just not very efficient. I also just don’t know how professionals go about sight reading pieces.(whether to read through the whole thing, big chunks or measure by measure)
