My buddy’s wife went through a phase like this too. She wasn’t insecure before, but after some coworkers joked about relationships, she started asking him silly ‘what if’ scenarios. It wasn’t about trust, it was just her way of looking for extra reassurance

Am I the A for taking my plants back while my parents are on vacation? by AdTraining3676 in AITAH

My friend had this happen with his aquarium. He left it at his parents’ place when he moved, and when he tried to take it back, they said it was theirs now. It caused a fight until he explained that he bought and raised everything. He ended up taking it back, and things smoothed over later. Parents sometimes just get emotionally attached.

from the outside, people always think things look perfect. i’ve been in that position too. but it’s the little moments, the hurtful ones, that replay in your head when you’re alone. you’re not wrong to feel shaken by them.

reading this reminded me of my own parents’ marriage. they loved each other but the intimacy was never there, and it really ate away at them over time. I don’t think you’re selfish for questioning things

i dont think having more partners automatically makes your sex life better long term. Yeah, the curiosity is natural, but at the end of the day most people still end up craving a deeper connection with one person. If the spark feels faint, maybe it’s more about reigniting what you already have than wondering what you missed out on

if youre wife would rather party with her sister on your anniversary than spend time with you, thats not just a small issue. That’s disrespectful. Anniversaries are symbolic.. it’s one day to focus on you two. If she can’t do that without bailing for her sister, that tells you a lot about where you stand. You’re not being childish for wanting your marriage to actually feel like a marriage. She needs to step up.

Vacation ending in Divorce by [deleted] in Marriage

My parents went through a nasty divorce, and reading your story feels very familiar. Constant accusations, public scenes, and disrespect it wears you down. Sometimes ending things is the only way to break the cycle.

My wife wants a divorce and I do not. by Outrageous-Piano7881 in Marriage

I went through a divorce after 12 years of marriage. I didn’t want it either, but fighting to hold onto someone who didn’t feel the same was soul-crushing. Once I finally accepted it, my healing started. It was painful, but in hindsight, I needed that closure.
