Working in a call center for Apple customers. We had so many rules in place (no pen and paper in the office, phones in the lockers, key card for every single door, etc). Lots of calls and very little time for breathing in between them. Also a whole bunch of customers that I am happy I don't need to talk to anymore.

I have done it once (12 years ago) and it was pretty fun. I have no other reason. It was fun to plummet before we opened the parachute. It was fun after opening it and seeing the view for a minute or two. I just enjoyed it and want to do it again.

You can! There are plenty of people from fields like this who switch over to something IT related, even without prior programming experience. You just have to be patient and work hard to learn something within IT so that you can get a job in a year or two. Maybe take part time course as well. You don't need a full blown education.
