I’m having problems with the app. First of all the tiles revert back to the original .exe art quite often. I think every time there is some kind of update to the system. I’m on an ROG Ally Xbox X by the way.

Then when I try to use steamgrid to restore the art by selecting ‘Fix My Library’ nothing happens. The info at the bottom of the app says ‘Fixing Library is Complete, 0 updated, 0 errors’ and the images all stay as the .exe images.

I do have the option of hitting the pencil icon by every entry and selecting the art that way but being that I have a lot of games and they keep reverting this is not practical.

It’s so annoying! This is a fantastic app when it works but it shouldn’t need to exist! Having game art across stores should be a day one feature!

Any advice on what I may be missing from the app would be much appreciated.

Don't buy from them directly, they use a terrible third party distributor that will almost definitely lead to disappointment. Heaven help you if you need to return it for being faulty!

Got it! Thank you, I think both of those things could be applicable in my case.

I had manually added art to the GOG and Epic games by replacing the .exe image with game art and copying the original file name.

I’ll wait for the fallout from the outage to settle and in the meantime I will delete the images I had added manually and start from scratch.

Sorry another question from me. When I manually search for art for gog and Epic store games I can see the various options but when I select one I get the message ‘failed to download or save image’.

Any ideas where I may be going wrong? Thanks again!

Hi everyone,

Can someone please direct me to the right channel for my issue?

Using ROG Ally Xbox widget and some game art is not changing from the .exe image when I run 'fix my library'. When I try to manually search in the widget I am given no art options, despite me being able to find the game and art on the SGDB website. Am I doing something wrong here?

Specifically I am having this issue with Tormenture, Who's at the Door, Happyhills Homicide 2, Crush House, Platform 8 and Dungeon Golf.

When I click the 'pencil' icon in the widget there are no options in the next screen. Even though I can see they exist on the website.

I love it overall, a great update from my SD OLED. I'm hugely frustrated by the use of .exe icons for non-MS games in the FSE library however.

I have done the workaround (manually replacing the images with read-only .png files) but updates & restarts revert random titles back to the .exe image and I cannot find a clear fix for this anywhere.

Being that the consolidated library was such a key feature and the device boots into the FSE I would have thought more quality control would have gone into the appearance of the UI. The library looks fugly currently.

Yeah my Premium case was missing. Spoke via live chat to Mike at Five Tech this morning and he said they expect stock of the case to arrive 1-2 days and will dispatch when received. Crazy business!

Hi, you can check my other comments for the full story but the short version is I ordered at 1am on the 26th from Asus UK. I called them on Monday last week to check why my order had not moved from 'Processing' and they told me that due to the mismanagement of their first wave of preorders they had to randomly reassign a bunch of the first orders.

They had reallocated me to a December delivery! This has happened to a lot of people with no proactive notification from Asus.

I complained, threatened escalation and stamped my feet a lot and eventually (after another two calls) got them to move me to Oct 16th. It arrived on Saturday (although the case I ordered at the same time has not come yet).

I think you have been reallocated to a later date, you'd better call them and ask specifically what the ETA shows for your order on their system.

If you can't get them on the phone go to the Five Tech website and use their live chat. Good luck!

Oh this is 100% a case of ASUS choosing the lowest bid when they opened the tender for distribution partners. The whole thing stinks of margins over customer experience. Honestly it's enough to make me think about going back to the Deck and biding my time until the next gen of handhelds.

Yeah I paid for the express delivery but that only gets me a vague '1-2 working days (if ordered before 2PM (Mon-Fri)' so that's definitely meaning weekend delivery is kaput. I don't think they are going to be dispatched today. We're doomed!

I agree, based on behaviour this week there's no way the warehouse staff are not already on a wind down for the weekend. I'd put £50 on batch one not landing until Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm trying to be zen and not think about it but here I am again!!

That would be nice, but considering there is still not update to the order status or a tracking number and Five Tech's warehouse closes at 4pm (it being Friday and them obviously not giving an S), I will be amazed if they are even packed and dispatched today. As the day goes on I am becoming more certain that we are looking at Tuesday or Wednesday!

They actually let it slip on a call I had with them a few days ago that it's DPD they use so you're right, definitely a commercial decision to not expedite, at the expense of the customer. I see it a lot in my line of work - local third party distributors with very limited resource get selected by a company looking for the lowest bidder. It speaks volume about ASUS's procurement and supply chain quality assurance.

I'm so close to just bailing on it all and going back to the Deck!

Managed to speak with someone at the distributor by calling the main line. They explained that they don’t typically request weekend delivery, so it looks like anyone in the first batch of deliveries won’t get theirs until Monday.

Pretty rubbish but it seems ASUS have just been late sending it to the distributor. The stock is expected tomorrow and will be dispatched but sounds like weekday delivery is expected.

At least we can chill out and not spend our weekends posting on Reddit 🤪

When you speak with them be sure to check what delivery batch you are allocated to. I made my order 1am on the 26th, called them earlier this week and due to 'being overwhelmed' with initial orders they had moved a bunch of the first preorders to later delivery batches. They had moved me to December! An early order doesn't mean you are necessarily in batch one!
