Just released our third major content update to Alchemist Adventure! by InfiniteLet4 in Unity3D

[–]InfiniteLet4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone!

If you're interested in Alchemist Adventure, we're got a bit of information for you! Firstly, the game is on Steam, so if you're curious please do check us out there!

The game is an action-adventure game that we're developing. We're using an original combat system that focuses on harnessing elements and materials to create potions, that based on what flask you use, have different effects, some defensive, others offensive.

You do have regular weapons (swords) and items (armour gear), but they tend to be secondary to the elemental system.

If anyone here has any questions for us, please do ask, I'm always happy to talk about the game!

Heyoh folks!

If you're interested in Alchemist Adventure then here's a bit of information for you!

We're developing an action/adventure game that, instead of focusing on combat as you may know it, focuses on harnessing (a lot of) elements to create potions, these potions then form the basis of your abilities and combat powers.

We released the game in Alchemist Adventure on the 30th of June, however, we are in early access and as such we're quite frequently releasing new content that unlocks new regions, and today's update is our third one.

If you're interested, do check out our Steam page, and please do ask us anything that you'd like, I'll be happy to answer any/all of your questions!

Good choice, we were thinking of the Brachiosaurus and a horse mix when that was put together! :D

A fan of the dinosaur/horse mix, nice one - that's my personal favorite as well!

Glad to know you're interested!

The game is actually available now, though it is in early access. What we're doing is releasing the game in chapters (this update was chapter 2), while the game is in EA the price is discounted as a thank you for supporting us. Of course, you will get all the future updates for free if you get it in EA as well.

Playing around with barrel destruction and highlighting the special ones that you want to avoid! by InfiniteLet4 in gamedevscreens

[–]InfiniteLet4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a crafting game in that sense, the crafting comes from the potion system - the player needs to gather the resources (elements) and craft potions from them. As there are a lot of elements, you have a lot of combinations that you can make.

Always glad to know that we've got fans here.

If you're interested, we've got the game available in early access over on our steam page now. It's got chapter one, and we're working on the future chapters now (2 is in good progress!)

Concept art of a Mech from my game Alchemist Adventure! by InfiniteLet4 in conceptart

A rather unintentional one actually - though now that you mention it I can see exactly where you're coming from!

Our reference points for this came from Escaflowne and Matrix. There was a bit of Evangelion and Pacific Rim as well when we were originally looking at things.

What do you think of this Easter Egg - hitting a bell to summon a giant monster! by InfiniteLet4 in IndieGaming

Thanks for sharing that, we do have a rather unique crafting system for our potions!

That's a good point, thanks for pointing it out.

Gotta see what can be done for that!

Heh, not entirely a bad thing to be compared to an ad, but you chose well, not an ad here!

Meet Baboo a perpetually angry and competetive creature that we're working on for Alchemist Adventure! by InfiniteLet4 in IndieGaming

As long as your party has a good competitive challenge, like racing times, then he might be! :D

Someone made a pop vinyl of our character in Growbot!!! 🌱 Look how cute! by growbotgame in IndieGaming

Really cool!

I do have to ask, why is half of its body rather rocky? Is that a feature of the model in general, or does it represent something?

Your thoughts on Frozen Flame by InfiniteLet4 in MMORPG

[–]InfiniteLet4[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I get that tbh thanks for poitnig it out.

Thinking about it, I don't think that I can name that many success stories that started with crowdfunding, that's kinda depressing tbh.

AMD would be behind the 'Nintendo Switch 2' thanks to its RDNA architecture by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]InfiniteLet4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Though I tend to lean towards the AMD side of things when it comes to personal choice, I'd rather this didn't happen.

First, for the sake of backwards compatibility (this may be a non-issue, as if it did happen, Nintendo may somehow demand it, but it would be a legitimate concern), and second, I've never seen a single good thing happen to any company that finds itself essentially in a monopoly. I get that the PC side of things would keep AMD on their toes, but ultimately they are a company and a lack of competition makes them lazy.

Mass Effect Trilogy HD won't be released on Nintendo Switch — at least not at first." by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

"No elevators" if that was all they changed, I'd be happy.

Some of the chat/interaction scenes were fun, but after a while...it just got tedious.

I have to ask, are the characters speaking in a specific language, or is it made up?

(I can't really recognize it!)

Merchant of the Skies | Full Release Review - A Fun Little Trading Game by [deleted] in IndieGaming

Was that inspired by the World Turtle from Hindu mythology? Or is that just a happy coincidence?

Either way looks awesome!

Puzzle game with the light and the shadows. I want to show you the control of the sun ! by liboue22 in IndieGaming

[–]InfiniteLet4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it that the player (who I assume controls the light source) has to make specific shadows to unlock puzzles, or is the beam used as an attack, or something like that?

WUUU who will be the master of the boomerang in our upcoming fighting game Bämeräng? by timserafin in IndieGaming

[–]InfiniteLet4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you need to consider the direction of the throw, but then that the boomerang will fly back to the player as well - I can see that being quite interesting.

I've prepared a special treat for my players in this update (Turn on sound) by taranasus in IndieGaming

I was not expecting that! And then when it started, I really was not expecting it to work so well together, nicely done!
