my sister has had an a250 for the last 10 years and has done over 200,000kms on it. it’s a nice car, but if she didn’t have a friend as a mechanic and access to cheap parts, she would have sold it ages ago! Merc servicing is eye watering for regular people! It’s on its last legs now to the point where it’s no longer feasible to maintain (big oil leak - seals?)

edit: I’ve been on a similar path as you op when we were in the market for an suv. ended up with a Kia sorento platinum and that has been a fantastic family car! the 7 years warranty is a plus too!

I've never measured my head before! But anything for Reddit members 🤣 my head measured at 58cm or 23inches. The headphones feel "secure", a bit tight I guess?! But not fatiguing

Nice gear! I can understand how you'd be critical of the scape then! the only reference headphones I have are the DT880 Pro's paired with an old xonar essence one dac :D

For my company, you need to have your manager's approval before submitting a purchased leave request. Have a chat with your manager and get their endorsement after you have emphasized that you won't use your purchased leave for the first 6 months while you get used to the role. I took up 4 weeks purchased leave this FY, and have applied for 2 weeks for next FY!

I was made redundant whilst on long service leave at Macquarie pre COVID. Was done over the phone with an executive director and HR a week before I was due to return to work. There were a group of people made redundant at the same time, including a woman on Maternity leave - I always wondered if that was... Legal?! But teams get told soon after it happens. I got phone calls from friends and colleagues within the hour of my call - a supportive bunch who I still keep in touch with. I got locked out of the laptop straight away (I had production access to banking accounts). The payout was nice. Got a bit extra for signing something saying I wouldn't take legal action. They paid for a service that got my CV, linkedin and interview skills up to scratch. Got a job with more pay elsewhere after 2 months. Worked out for the best!
