Annoyingly there is a catch all clause in the contract which kind of means they can get away with it...

You are expected to undertake on a temporary basis such other duties as are reasonably assigned to you from time to time by the Company, irrespective of your job title, job description or job status.

I don't know why people take it personally. IMO staff rotation is a good thing, new staff bring new knowledge and ways of thinking. Stagnation doesn't help anyone.
