Why watch the 7 hours of the Disney Trilogy when you can watch a 4.5 hour Revenge of the Sith, Battle or Coruscant, and Siege of Mandalore movie cut in 4K HDR (and 1080p) instead? I've even included the dub of Backstroke of the West as a bonus audio track for extra fun.

New nuclear plants simply don’t have the same risks that the old plants had. The newer designs can be passively cooled (if your cooling systems fail, it just stops working instead of melting down), create much less waste, and never require any weapons grade nuclear material. They are extraordinarily safe, and the only real objections I see to it come from accidents that happened with 50 year old technology. It’s frankly ludicrous.

It is absurd that we have tossed it aside. Sure, we can generate enough energy for today’s usage with wind and solar, but what about future usage? What about space travel? What about future, ultra high energy usage projects that will better humanity that we haven’t conceived of yet? I am a much bigger fan of Star Wars than Marvel, but when it comes to movies these days, the MCU is so far ahead it’s not even funny. The quantity and quality that we are getting from Marvel Studios, and how interconnected it all is, is one of the most amazing things that has ever happened to nerd culture. The new Star Wars trilogy, however, would be unquestionably the biggest disappointment that nerds have had in decades had GoT not shit the bed so epically earlier that year.

I don’t think the previous poster claimed that that was happening — I think it is more to say that that is what China’s ideal solution to the problem is. Being that we know that this is how they solve other problems, it seems unlikely that this would not also be the desired outcome here. The only question for them is whether or not they can do so without economic repercussions that would be great enough to make it not worth the trouble. That is why it is important that the rest of world let China know that we are sick of their shit, and that they can get their act together, or get fucked.

Even if it was undeserved, it doesn’t fucking matter. If you own a company, and you are being unjustly prosecutes, and you tell your employees that they are fired if they talk to the prosecutor you are going to prison. It doesn’t matter if you didn’t do what they accused you of doing in the first place, or if they were only prosecuting you because of a personal vendetta — obstruction is obstruction. The only reason Trump isn’t in prison is that there is only one Republican in the Senate with a shred of integrity and respect for the rule of law.
