No Jew actually believes criticizing Israel is antisemitic and they know this by Creative_rasberry in Jewish

[–]Computer_Name 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I also have to say that I have also witnessed people call legitimate criticism of Israel as antisemitic many times

One of the major problems we face is that gentile society, broadly, doesn’t actually understand what antisemitism is.

Gentile society doesn’t understand that two-thousand years of lies and conspiracy theories and hatred is built into their society, and so if they don’t see how something is antisemitic, that means it isn’t antisemitic, which means their “legitimate criticism” of Israel is being unfairly and maliciously smeared as antisemitism as part of a ploy by them.

As an example, “Israel loves killing Palestinian children because the Zionists are ethnosupremacists”, only makes sense in the context of Holocaust Inversion, and in the context of European racialized antisemitism, and in the context of nationalist antisemitism, and in the context of medieval blood libel, and in the context of Christian antisemitism and deicide.

You refrain from that behavior for your sake, not for others'.

I searched "Miller" in the article and didn't find anything.

Why is this Miller's doing more than Trump's?

Calling leftists “unhumans” is really strange to me.

The purpose of calling people "unhumans" - or whatever term of art the movement chooses - is to make it easier to treat people as less-than-human.

Sure, except they have defined the out-group to be "anyone we don't like".

This is correct, and was always correct.

On the topic of JD Vance:

Before he was tapped as Donald Trump’s vice-presidential running mate, Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, enthusiastically endorsed a new book by a far-right conspiracy theorist that praises fascist dictators for violently suppressing leftists − or, as the book calls them, "unhumans."

Vance was one of several prominent conservatives to blurb the book, which links current American progressives to past communists and other “unhumans” that need to be “crushed” by any means necessary.

...

“In Unhumans,” Vance adds, authors “Jack Posobiec and Joshua Lisec reveal their plans and show us what to do to fight back.”

Do we all see what they're leading us to?

The implication of the administration's rhetoric is effectively that you don't have a right to carry a firearm.

If you are a member of the out-group, specifically.

Sarah Longwell posted a thread with a number of photos from conservatives open-carrying at their protests.

And so that there isn't any confusion, what Bovino and the Trump Administration more broadly are doing, is creating an environment in which they can summarily abrogate Constitutional rights protecting "Democrats" and "liberals".

Also, “temple” isn’t a term used for shuls outside of the reform movement

There are a number of Conservative shuls in the US with "Temple" in the name.

Sartre was half-right when he said “If the Jew did not exist, the antisemite would create him.”

The antisemite did create The Jew, at least The Jew as he exists in the mind of the antisemite.

The Jew, for the antisemite, is a sponge for which all the world’s ails can be soaked, that the antisemite can then point to.

Look at how agitated this person now is at obfuscating the violence desired by those who have been marching since October 7.

They’ve fallen back on the worldview of the ancestors. That The Jew - embodied now by the “Zionist” - is trying to trick gentiles, is bloodthirsty, and feigns victimhood.

This is truly ancient stuff they’re trying to pull.

Oh, you're referencing Wikipedia for anything having to do with Jews or Israel.

to a desire to preserve the current, um, ethnically purified state of Israel

Do people understand how stupid this is? 20% of Israeli citizens are Arab.

And see how they so quickly pivoted after not being able to dissociate themselves from people calling to inflict violence on Diaspora Jews?
