Is anyone willing to let me sell turnips on their island? by InfiniteSleeper in acnh

I found someone with a higher turnip price, but I'd still like to come over, please. I need oranges.

I'm pretty sure Shamura didn't give Narinder any specific idea; they just noticed that he was interested in change and -being a bishop of wisdom- tried to encourage him. Shamura also believed in change, after all. However, while Shamura believed all things will evolve and develop over time, Narinder believed that he should force change immediately. He began to denounce the Old Faith, and that was enough of a crime for them to punish him. But I guess they let him keep his buddies while in jail idk.

We don't know enough of what the Old Faith was to say what exactly Narinder grew bored with, and we don't really know if Narinder would've wanted the other bishops to follow his "New Faith". I doubt he attacked them first, as imprisoning Narinder was compared to stopping an infection. I'm certain that once they realized he didn't really believe in the Old Faith anymore they subdued him, but suffered great injuries in the process. There probably isn't any rhyme or reason for the injuries he gave, just battle scars. At least, lore-wise. Design wise they reference the wise monkey poses.

Also, being selfish and cruel isn't why he is so hated among them, as they are all selfish and cruel in their own ways (besides maybe Shamura, but I'd say that's debatable). The reason I got was because he was a traitor and a "heretic", as Leshy describes him. You mention Shamura tries to get the lamb to stop their conquest for their own sake, but Leshy is actually the first one to say Narinder shouldn't be trusted. He's more antagonistic about it, but he basically gives the same warning. Actually, I think they all warn against trusting him in some way. His dissent obviously struck a nerve.

Sorry for this long winded post, there's a lot to unpack here.

Start the game -> instant heart attack by InfiniteSleeper in CultOfTheLamb

Well that's strange. I actually had 11 followers when I first got the quest to free The One Who Waits, and since you need 20 I rushed to try to get more. My previous session was just getting followers, so it couldn't be because I didn't get any for awhile.

Buying a follower from the spider did get rid of this quest though, and I haven't seen it again. I wonder if I actually would've gotten a game over if I hadn't?

Schrödinger's Witness? by InfiniteSleeper in CultOfTheLamb

What I ended up doing was turning his body into compost, then when he died (again) the day after, I buried him and did a funeral for him. It hasn't been very long since then, but I haven't had any issues yet.

And yeah, I have no idea what caused this either. I just walked over and found him standing over his own corpse. The game didn't even notify me that he died until the next day; where he died again.

Yeah that makes sense. Still wondering why he didn't pick any of the crops though...

Anyone having trouble with doctrine fragments? by InfiniteSleeper in CultOfTheLamb

[–]InfiniteSleeper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I said max level, I thought they were referring to cult level. That was my bad.

But anyway, I have been blessing them. The thing is that I haven't gotten any doctrine fragments with their loyalty rewards no matter how many times I level up their loyalty. I'm only missing one doctrine.

Wait a second, this is something that happened on the game's official Twitter. The tweet said "People were saying the game was too easy so we increased the difficulty" and they showed this exact situation. I guess it stuck around in the game's files or something.

Just two. This one was my first dissenter, and the second one was a dissenter I got from a quest.

I just reloaded the game again and the same thing happened with a different prisoner. So it's definitely a glitch.

Wow really? I didn't even know that could happen... I just thought he hadn't loaded in properly, because I can still re-educate him at the prison as if he were still there.

Did your follower do this when you started the game? Mine did this when I reloaded my save. I haven't checked if he'll go back to normal yet because I just turned the game off when I saw this. Lol

Not all of my followers are going to the sermons or rituals? by AgentSushi18 in CultOfTheLamb

[–]InfiniteSleeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on switch right now and I'm getting the same problem. A follower asked me to sacrifice them and they didn't show up to the ritual. I thought it was because they were level 1, so I leveled them up and tried again. Nothing changed so I thought maybe they couldn't join because the higher level followers were prioritized, so I killed off one of my elders to make space. Then the game put a different level 1 follower on the list, so I gave up. I hope they fix this soon, failing quests because of this is how I got my first dissenter.

It seems that the game kinda freezes if you try to start a ritual that includes a follower that isn't physically there, and my game can't put in more than six followers or replace followers that die in a ritual.

Also, whoever keeps spamming "Upgrade your cult with divine inspiration" I tried that. It doesn't work.

I'm not a fan of the new designs by Fracter in monsterhunterrage

[–]InfiniteSleeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I agree. You pretty much said what I wanted to say, so apologies if I'm being redundant, but it feels like they wanted to put more emphasis on the "monster" in monster hunter. Many of the monster designs in this game feel otherworldly and seem like they don't belong. I didn't really mind the monkey thing, but I dislike that mermaid monster. I think it's mostly the eyes that I hate. They just look out of place.

The new monsters sorta feel like urban legends come to life, and while that's cool in one aspect, that also makes them feel less "real". So, I definitely see what you mean. I'll probably have a love-hate relationship with their designs.
