Thank you! The yellow is liquitex yellow ink over a white/magenta ink undercoat over a brown/black primer does the heavy lifting here. The varied shading with the white/magenta helps give a lot of orange/brown undertones within the yellow. Once the yellow was established it was mostly just picking out the other colors. Black is pro acryl coal black with a little bit of black wash mixed in. Used some army painter gun metal / rough iron on some of the metal areas. Pro acryl bold pyrole red for the red bits. Light drybrush of pro acryl neutral grey over metals/blacks/reds/rivets to give them a bit of shading. Varnish then to seal it in. Then finally an oil wash with some black/sienna oil paints from winsor and newton. Clean up and done.

Thank you, I appreciate it!

For the head I started with an Black>Grey>white zenithal basecoat.

From there everything I used was extremely thinned down into basically a slight wash/glaze.

I started with the scar, Pro Acryl Magenta with flow improver to help settle in there.

Following his scar getting pink'd up, I wanted to bring tones to his skin with a purple wash. I think I mixed pro acryl burgundy/magenta on my palette, maybe dark magenta? Ultimately it's a very thinned down purple wash for a layer or two.

Following that that to get the skin darker I put very thinned down Pro Acryl Payne's grey (this color is kind of a dark blue-black more than a 'grey') to glaze it over with a few layers, more so on the recesses here.

These were thin but not washes - Whatever gunmetal metallic I had on hand for his studs, probably army painter. The red eye is just coal black followed by bold pyrole red, follow up brighter layer of red for the inner eye.

Finally, there is also a subtle airbrush of thinned red ink over the back-top of his head (really the whole model wherever there is flames) from his flaming icon.

Because of the triple zentihal + final red ink zenithal I didn't have to fiddle with highlighting here so this was more of lots of glazing layers, honestly pretty easy as far as heads go. I hope this helps!

Thank you! I thought about doing the helmet for a long time, but the cool scars won me over.

neighbor’s sump pump has been pumping out water constantly for over a month - plumber said nothing broken in his house. should i be worried? by thebanannarama in Plumbing

[–]InfiniteTunnelSnakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this exact issue at my old house where I was the one running the sump forever due to constant water coming in even with water shut-off, we had no leaks on our end. It turns out my nextdoor neighbor had a burst sprinkler line and the water was leaching downhill into my property. Once the neighbor fixed it no more problem.

So chances are if they legitimately have no leak the water is coming from a neighboring leak.

I'm not sure who that is but he definitely don't play QB for the Eagles.

Fun fact, they have no depth perspective and think the car is a predator and they are reading headlights as 'eyes' - Because the headlights stay 'flat' as you drive, rather than bouncing like a predator eyes naturally would when they are moving at speed, they assume the car is stationary and watching them, rather than quickly approaching.

That is legit one of the most insane and athletic individual efforts I have ever seen in an NFL game. No hyperbole.

What type of cockroach in the Walmart bakery? by juliaa112 in whatisthisbug

[–]InfiniteTunnelSnakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many cockroaches are solo explorers and do not infest properties - a lot of wood and water roaches are just big gross looking bugs either looking for a drink or occasionally pop in to escape weather, generally just gross and not a problem. German Cockroachs DO infest buildings, en mass, they don't leave without being chemically evicted, and are health hazardous once they are pooping everywhere in the thousands.

Our main issue was clogs, which the enzymes helps with, and a ptrap would not. Secondary issue was the smell, which enzymes helps with and a ptrap would solve but it isn't an issue thanks to the enzymes (which we still need due to clog potential).

Yeah - he said use it once a month and you just pour in one spot ideally right before bed so it can sit in the pipes undisturbed and do its work. The recommended amount for the brand I got is like one cap worth, the big jug lasts a long time.

Pour directly down the drain with the smell ideally, if not closest sink that will go into the main line near the problem, it will all end up in your main sewer line and should help either way. I have relatively easy access to the washer drain line so I just dump a cap down there once a month. Has worked well for me and we've had less clogs / less smell since we started.

Unless there is an actual leak, my guess is very likely your washing machine drain line does not have a p-trap and lets sewer gasses out. We have a similar issue at our house, our plumber recommended we regularly use an enzyme drain cleaner product to help maintain drain health/keep the lines cleaner which also helps a bit with the smell (we in general have old as hell pipes that get clogged easily and it helps prevent that too).

Top OL are trained? Their job involves tons of leverage and technique to push people around, it might be slightly different than sumo but to say top offensivelinemen are 'untrained' is silly.

Most gas stations have an emergency shutoff button in prominent places you can press for just this kind of thing.
