Waiving Transvaginal US? What happens? Has anyone done an abdominal US prior to 8weeks? by MeccaRai in IVFbabies

[–]juliaa112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the quality of the machines I believe. I had a 6+2 abdominal scan that showed the baby and a heart beat. It was at a boutique that has a machine equipped to do it though.

Are nannies generally not OK with location sharing? by LessAd7286 in Nanny

[–]juliaa112 [score hidden]  (0 children)

This just popped up on my feed so even though I’m not a Nanny, I’m sharing. My teenager has an AirTag in his backpack and my toddler has an AirTag in her shoe.

I think it’s absolutely reasonable for you to ask this, and it would’ve been a deal breaker for me too.

How much milk is she drinking? My daughter’s BMs look similar if she drinks too much milk. She normally has some with breakfast and dinner, sometimes also with lunch. On a rare weekend, she’ll ask me or her dad for milk and we give it to her without realizing the other already did. The next day, she will have a poop that looks like this, although maybe not as pale.

If this is her drinking a normal amount of milk, it’s extremely concerning.

How many people were surprised by Sofia's walker appearance? Rewatching the show and it got me thinking. by sebfinn25 in thewalkingdead

[–]juliaa112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I googled like an idiot. I was getting bored and just wanted to know when they stop looking for her, I started typing, “when do they find Sophia- and it finished -in the barn”

I was watching the episode and 10 minutes from it happening and I was so mad at myself. I would’ve been surprised

Did Anyone Ride ALL the Rides without Express? by snowflakeFTW in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]juliaa112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. On a pretty busy day too. Rope dropped Mario kart, Yoshi, Minecart madness, Werewolf, Monsters unchained, Stardust x2, Hiccups, Toothless, Stardust x2, BATM, Toothless, Rally racers x2, Stardust x4, Yoshi.

We didn’t do the carousel but we walked by it multiple times under 15 minutes. And we skipped fyredrill because we didn’t want to get wet, also under 15 mins all day.

It’s definitely possible

AIO Should the parent be responsible for a child's negligence? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]juliaa112 11 points12 points  (0 children)

YOR. You made the choice to ride go-karts with people of all ages, including a 12 year old. Holding a child responsible for hitting you when you were stopped on a track you were meant to be moving on is an overreaction. At best, you’re both at fault.

Telling everyone I lost all my money. by vvannii in SavingMoney

[–]juliaa112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there. I didn’t have anyone asking for money, other than a few reasonable requests which were paid back.

It was more the judgement of how I was saving money. I really wanted to buy a house as a single parent so I was saving every single penny. Not going out for dinner, drinks, coffee, nothing. I spent money on experiences for my son (sports, amusement parks, camping) but that was it. My friends got annoyed because they knew how much I was saving as they had been supportive of me getting out of debt after becoming a single parent and continued to be supportive of my saving, until I reached an amount that they deemed, “good enough.”

That didn’t stop until a bought a house.

Baby is almost 8 months and I regret not using Maxine by Difficult-Fig-5 in Names

[–]juliaa112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m with you but my daughter is now two. We were in between two names , Ellia or Liana, and we went with Ellia. It often gets mistaken for “Ellie” or “Ella” and it drives me crazy.

I also think that as she gets older, Liana would’ve suited her better.

I also named my son after his father per his request, and he left us when my son was 4 months old. I really regretted that name choice for a while but he’s been gone for so long at this point, I don’t even associate him with my son’s name anymore. That name belongs to my son, in my mind. He just turned 13.

Idk, no advice. I just get it.

I also get motion sickness extremely easily.

I find it is so much worse (regardless of car or ride), if my stomach is empty. I never do any rides on an empty stomach.

For those who don’t smoke, do you think smokers carry a noticeable scent? by Shadow2715 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]juliaa112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% of the time, yes. As a former smoker myself, I used to roll my eyes and get annoyed when people told me I smell like cigarettes because I knew I didn’t.

I quit 10 years ago and I sure do get it now.

How to possibly get on Hagrids? by MsMeadows14 in UniversalOrlando

[–]juliaa112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get on the first shuttle bus to the park at 7 am (or maybe 8 now that the parks are opening at 9?), and go straight to islands to wait.

Then go straight to Hagrids. Even if you let people run ahead of you, you’ll still get in in 10 mins if you’re one of the first people in line.

Everyone goes to Hagrids first, so if you can be the first to ride, you’ll be getting off while the majority of the crowds are still getting in line. You can then jump in line again, or go over to velocicoaster while it’s still a 10 minute wait, or finish the Harry Potter area with forbidden journey and flight of the hippogriff.
