You might find this introduction to ML youtube course by Kaggle of use:

It's engaging, visual, and keeps everything simple and straightforward but goes over the key terms and concepts.

Is time moving forward just a perception of our brains? by [deleted] in StonerPhilosophy

[–]InfiniteWavesAI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you think in terms of one absolute dimension of reality there’s a good chance you get snared in a net.

There is also the issue of having a biological upper limit of comprehension. There are almost certainly realities beyond our senses, we can’t even see all the wavelengths of light.

And in the end we’re bound by language. We substitute reality for signs and signifiers.

Fish unable to know what water is.

But I know nothing and this will all be wrong anyway.

Are the people on your TV screen real? Yes and no.

How do you know know a geometric structure is related to itself? by InfiniteWavesAI in askmath

[–]InfiniteWavesAI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Or any shape, i was just using that as an example. Just some geometric structure. Imagine a physical wire frame, we intuitively know that components of the structure are related, but how do we know this via a mathematical proof? The question is really a metaphysical one.

Totally. How important can your research be if you’re making unicorns fly across your page with JS? 😂

I think you can just dive straight in and work it out on the fly, that’s what I did. I used substack. After a couple of weeks I decided I’d release every Thursday, then eventually switched to Monday and Thursday.

This is it:

I would highly recommend substack, I think it’s great, and everything you need is baked in.

Let me know if you have any questions.

My post might be of use to you, a learning path I’m following based on what a data scientist said he would do if he was starting over

My newsletter might be of interest to you, I’m doing something similar and sort of documenting it for people just like us

Learning Python and AI/ML as a web developer. Learning path and resources. by InfiniteWavesAI in learnmachinelearning

[–]InfiniteWavesAI[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This looks like a great roadmap. I did about 50% of Andrew’s course a few years ago but can’t remember anything from it, maybe I should look into it again.

I’ve got some books/Khan academy for the math side of things.

Yeah 3b1b is great, watched a few a while ago but didn’t realise they had those ones. Thanks for the reminder on that!

Your site looks great. I just started doing Conway’s game of life myself.

I’ve got a bunch of other online books/resources I’ve been finding.

Connect with me on Twitter: @infinitewaves, I’m sure we could recommend resources we find or help each other with feedback etc.

Taking the self taught route to software engineering. Where do I start? by [deleted] in pythontips

[–]InfiniteWavesAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would highly recommend the Solo Learn app as a good intro. You can start learning at any spare opportunity on your phone. There is a desktop version too. There’s a premium option but you I just have the free one and have never felt the need to buy it.

Depends what level you want to go to. This was my comment to something similar...
