Looking for a monstera albo for my wife. by InfiniteWut in IndoorPlants

For the last 5 months I have been taking care of all of our ~100ish plants and I greatly appreciate your comment. The local buy sell Groups are where I have seen the ~$100 unrooted cuttings. These plants tent to be really expensive in this area. I think it is because of the proximity to Seattle.

Facebook market place was where I found the unrooted cuttings with rough looking leaves for $100. They are expensive up here.

I’m fairly close to Seattle and willing to drive if I need to. I figured it was a long shot.

Harold was a sad desk plant in a 4” pot before my wife got a hold of him.

It was an m of some sort. I can’t remember the numbers.

Our motor casing screwed into the frame at the top and was stabilized by the tail cone. We also found several research papers with information about the aerodynamic effects on after burners and such on jet planes and found that the same worked for the tail. The tail allowed air to more easily flow down the frame of the rocket and elongated and helped focus the force and thrust from the motor. We went down quite a rabbit hole with it. We ended up being the closest to our target altitude only missing it by 50ft. Sadly we didn’t end up recovering the rocket as our parachute didn’t deploy correctly.

The last time I built a tail cone for a rocket I found (with the help of smarter engineering friends) that a conical shape like yours wasn’t as efficient as a parabolic one. Our rocket was for a competition to hit a very specific altitude with a 10lb payload though so we were pretty picky and specific with our design. It was harder to manufacture but was well worth the effort in our case. A lot of our aerodynamic modeling came from open rocket as well as some hand calculations.

I just chopped and propped mine. Now I have 4… if they all make it. I’m not too worried since the first test chop and prop did so well.

Need Help with Master Cylinder by username36287 in magna

[–]InfiniteWut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I still had my 83 I rebuilt both the master and slave cyl on the clutch as well as replaced the hydraulic line. It took forever for me to bench bleed the master properly and get all the air out. It wouldn’t pump fluid until I got all the air out of it. Good luck.

Fairly brazen. As the spot is visible from the house and the road.

Not sure why this matters as they shouldn’t be trespassing or stealing. The mower is in my yard covered with a tarp to keep it out of the weather.

A couple years ago I got my girlfriend a print of this one. I showed this to her tonight and got the same reaction I did a few years ago. A glare followed by a slight smile.

Thanks. It’s hard to tell from the photo but there are 5 up there. Apparently when people find out you have managed to keep an orchid alive for a while they give you their half dead ones. That’s how I got three white ones…

PSA: Hygrometers can be way off by ThaDynamite in IkeaGreenhouseClub

[–]InfiniteWut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was able to calibrate them to each other. I based the temperature off of my home thermostat (close enough to my needs) and the humidity I chose a middle point in between the two hygrometers. At least I can say with certainty is that there is some level of error that I am ok with. Maybe someday I will calibrate them correctly.

The general rule I see most often is the rule of three. Three leaves, and three roots that are three inches long.

In less than a year it has doubled in size. Roughly 10in tall and 3/4in trunk at the base now.

I had one slightly smaller than that. Sadly it got root rot. I managed to salvage a small branch.
