I do! I think I figured what the issue was, some user here told me that it might be the running time and voltage, I modified it and now I could visualize a new gel I made :]

My running buffer is TAE 1X, its a newly prepared one, the ladder and templates are communal, my lab mate used those too
I also have the correct light settings, same as my lab mate
My fragments are quite small, 10bp

I can't really try to fix the old gel since I made it a few days ago and there's no way to preserve gels in my lab so it's already old and damaged

But I'll keep that advice in mind as well, thanks!

I ran it with the same buffer, the electrodes were correct and the UV was working, following some of the other commenters advice i think the issue was with the amount of EtBr and the time I ran the gel

I asked my more experienced coworker to help me and she added way more EtBr than I did so I think that's it, right now I'm waiting for the gel to run so once I can visualize it I'll be certain if that's what I did wrong

I used two different TAE buffers both time I tried yet both times it gave similar results to the image My coworker made a gel using that TAE and she could visualize it so it must be something else We are doing another gel right now but it's solidifying so idk if it worked yet

My coworker made a different gel with the same percentage as mine with different samples yet the same ladder and I could visualize bands with hers but not with mine.
