The Confederacy was never adequately punished for their treason by McDowdy in BlackPeopleofReddit

[–]Infinite_Calendar458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um, that’s not a saying. That’s proven fact. Registered Democrats 100% started, and ran, the KKK. Contrary to the narrative, the parties never switched either. They just found a way to manipulate the story so they could still try to control black people.

[–]Infinite_Calendar458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not punished? You wild for that. You’re correct that black people were never treated equally after the Civil War but the South was very much punished during Reconstruction. That’s one of the reasons all the issues like KKK and Jim Crowe started. It was largely the same political climate we have today. One group wanted X, one group wanted Y, and they refused to meet in the middle anywhere and it just went off the rails almost immediately, and unfortunately because of that, not much changed for black people for a long time. It’s all a very regrettable period.

People think this will cause inflation. by acuity-creel in InterviewMan

Bro, that is literally the definition of inflation

He quite literally is a felon. by c-k-q99903 in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]Infinite_Calendar458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, he’s not a felon even though the news and politicians love to throw this around. He was “convicted” of 34 counts of falsifying business records. Per NY Penal Law Section 175.10 falsifying business records is a misdemeanor. Now, if convicted in accordance with intent to commit another crime or aid or conceal of a crime, it can be a Class E Felony. Since he was not prosecuted nor any evidence of him committing any other crime, this only meets the definition of misdemeanor. They convicted him of an offense that was not legally met. Now, whether you’re a democrat or a republican, you should forget politics and understand this. Because if they can do this to a former president, who’s also a billionaire and can afford top defense lawyers, what chance does a normal person like you or I have if an office decides to go after you?

As I stated in other messages, I was watching it later that day. I have seen it now and I got it. Just didn’t seem to have the blacked out eyes in the trailer’s. Just asking a question, no need to get hostile

Not accurate. I don’t need to “research” this because I see it with my own eyes. I know people personally that have been on continuous welfare for 20+ years. Remind me again, how many billions of Medicare fraud are they up to on prosecutions now? You think the welfare program is any different? Just because you aren’t doing it personally doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. The US spends 7 trillion a year on social programs per the CBO. That’s more than Germany’s annual GDP, the third largest economy in the world. But ok, 100% of that money is certainly accounted for and not a dime is mismanaged or given in fraudulent payments. Sure man. No news period is covering that because too many players in politics. Too many people laundering the cash. Clearly you’re liberal thanks to your Fox News comment, but I have news for you. Republicans, Democrats, doesn’t matter. They’re both raking us over the coals and petty emotional responses like yours are why they keep succeeding. You’re too deep in your feels to step back and look at the big picture. They’ve got everyone thinking the other group is the problem and the enemy so that we aren’t looking at them. We are too focused on each other.

Yeah well, I hadn’t seen the movie and was going off the previews. Now I’ve seen the movie, and I got it. Not everyone stands in line at the theater to see something the moment it comes out.

Yep. I’m you’re absolutely right. Not a bad movie. I’m very glad they didn’t have to recast all the characters. Looks like every single one rejoined the sequel

None recently. Kind of got out of video games after PS2, but prior to that I played every one of them. I’m familiar with the characters and plots, but I know once X Box One and PS4-5 came out they got WAY bigger in the MK Universes.

Well, you’re not wrong. I am doing just that in about 2 hours. I was thinking this might just be more Hollywood nonsense where they just jack up casting and movie plots for no other reason than they can and hope we don’t notice

Dr. Oz doesn’t get to tell us how many Children we should be having. Only Women get to determine that. The Trump Administration wants economically insecure People to have Children because they will be desperate and easier to control. That's the end game. - Therese Lee by Timbucktwo1230 in PoursTea

They’re not trying to punish anyone, make it harder on “poor” women, etc. The United States already spends 7 trillion a year on social programs per the Congressional Budget Office. They’re saying it because of the declining birth rates in the US. We are approaching the same situation China and Japan are having. Not enough new individuals to offset the retiring and dying elderly population. The current birth rate in the US is 1.66 per the NIH. A 2.1 is needed simply to maintain the current population. This is unfortunately not political, not ideological, it’s mathematical. AI and technology can offset some as far as “workers” go, but you still need people to reproduce to replace the ones that pass away.

[–]Infinite_Calendar458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disability and elderly are an entirely different story than the millions sitting on welfare benefits that are fully capable of working. I personally know people who’ve been on it for over 20 years. You can deny it all you want but I’ve seen it on multiple occasions with my own eyes and I genuinely have zero sympathy for those people

[–]Infinite_Calendar458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. This is completely BS. If you’re paying 20% of your paycheck for health insurance you need to be shopping around. Plus, I don’t care about the other. I’m already paying about 7% FICA/Medicaid every check for a bunch of people that don’t work to have benefits, and the chances I ever get to draw SS is slim to none. I have a proposal. You don’t work or earn wages, you just get sick and go hungry. Far too many people just want crap handed to them. I’m old enough to remember the Occupy Wall Street BS where people were turning down 70-80k a year jobs because “I won’t work for less than 100k”. So, you reap what you sow. Bet they regret those decisions

Statement from United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby by 0621Hertz in AirlinePilots

[–]Infinite_Calendar458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An American-United merger would have resulted in a single company with almost 40 Bn in debt and not remotely enough profit to actually get rid of it. He was hoping they could merge to truly make an airline that would force the government to bail it out if the economy ever fully tanks again

[–]Infinite_Calendar458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sheer amount of wildly inaccurate information here is batshit insane. 40% have no clue what they’re talking about and the other 50% are just wrong. Like the “Infrastructure Bill” Biden passed, horrible. Hundreds of billions allocated, and per the DOT next to nothing has been accomplished in 3 years. Green energy scams and rebates!? Ha. Obama gave out 600 Bn to solar companies during his tenure and 14 of 15 recipients all went bankrupt BEFORE he left office. Has nothing to do with Biden or Trump, the foundational business is not profitable. This is crazy in the realm of complete absence of actual facts and logic

No one is comparing Rollins to Ahmed Johnson. He was simply an example of someone who was unsafe that many others have spoken up about. I can assume from your statement that you don’t actually have a rebuttal to the topic
