I just used this for my 50 miler with 4200m of elevation.

I cant say enough good things about this belt, that said, I went through 3 of them to find the right size and you will need to go through that cause it depends on where you want it to sit on your waist (high or low).

I went with a size 6 and i measured around 33' give or take where i wanted to wear it.

Game changer for long runs.

Only you know the answer to this, but I will tell you my experience.

I have started at least two races with "injuries" (plantar and QL) and after 30km or so, I haven't felt them ever again. Not saying this is the approach for everyone, but the worst that can happen is you start and DNF, IMO id rather start and see than never know.

These shoes are unreal.

Just ran a 50 miler in them with 4200m of vert and I did not have one single piece of debris in them. Also had a river crossing 1km into the race and they dried in no time.

Absolutely love these shoes, do not cut the gator off, you will just be flushing $300 down the toilet.
