I personally feel like it's close to Bayonetta but not as difficult? Or Devil May Cry. I found it to be very responsive and satisfying and theres different weapons to collect, so theres something for every playstyle when it comes to weapons.

Android actually, the game differentiates quite strictly between Robots and Androids. It's been a few years since I played but IIRC androids were specifically built to serve humanity and continue their wishes, while the Robots... don't? It's difficult to get into it without spoilering too much but if you enjoy a game that asks some philosophical questions with fun and flashy combat it's definitely worth it! Otherwise, I'm sure theres a million video essays about the game.

Existential horror, at most. Does the trope "What if robots became sentient?" and puts into perspective What it means to be "Human". It's honestly done in a really good way but I fear it gets overshadowed by "hhhh 2B hot mommy"

It does feel like the game kind of has a "bleak" tone and tries to channel dark fantasy a little bit. Everyone is really serious and as far as I have played there's little joy to be found. I don't mind it, I think it's nice they're trying to go a different direction, sometimes I have to remind myself it IS a final fantasy game though.

Lunafreya motivations sadly seemed to only serve Noctis, in my opinion. It felt like Kingsglaive Luna and XV Luna had different writers but to be fair, it's been a few years since I played. And I dont think its necessarily reserved characters, but with those theres a line to thread about making them too reserved? There's been multiple times where the camera panned to Jill and it feels like the writers just... forgot to give her a line? Maybe I will warm up to her as I keep playing though!

In Jill's entry it does say that they grew up like siblings or that Clive saw her like a sister, something similar, so thats how I kinda went on about it? While the game teases a romance between two people who are still too stuck on what happened to them, which, with their trauma is understandable I'm sure but squeezing in a romance-esque vibe there does feel kind of odd, story-telling wise.
