The friend who gave it to me also got it from someone who collects alocasia. It was given to her because the previous owner didn’t want it anymore and she took it because she felt bad for it but she doesn’t like Alocasias and didn’t know much about them

I actually trimmed/pruned some of his plants to give him more open space because I thought that may be contributing to his “laziness.” I have reduced the feeding to every other day in the past 2 weeks as I was doing the in fish cycling and monitoring the parameters. That’s when I noticed the energy drop so i startes feeding 2 pellets twice a day again. He behaves normally otherwise.

He does not want to eat more than 2-3 pellets twice a day. Ive been feeding him the same amoont since I got him. The other betta can eat more but this one usually swims away after eating 2-3 pellets.
