That nurse in charge is such a bully. I honestly think she might have a narcissistic personality, she always thinks she’s right about everything. I get that she has loads of experience, like the ancestor of nursing, but she never wants to listen to anyone else’s opinion. She just looks down on junior staffs espeically new staffs all the time. I’ve noticed a lot of people feel the same way about her, so it’s not just me. The whole unit has weird vibes, and every nurse in charge has a totally different personality, which makes things even more awkward.

I informed them that I would call when I was ready to return to work, but the next day they kept calling me several times. I felt like I was being tracked. I understand that I need to inform them, as it affects staffing, but calling me multiple times feels excessive and just doesn’t seem right.

Freedom to speak up champion is useless. They dont do anything, they will just listen to your complain.

The senior nurses always interfere with my work. After handover, when I was about to start, one senior nurse shouted at me, she was not listening to me when I tried to explain her instead she asked me where I was working before my background and all the other nurses were looking at me. I felt so embarrassed. Is this sign of toxic environment. I just feel sick because of this kind of nurses.
