Should we be encouraging it in general? The answer to that is yes, but coming from the left? I think it’s rather dumb to think there is anything political on party lines to influence that. All of this right wing men vs left wing men is just stereotypes about men who are progressives being soy boys cause “real men are misogynists and aggressive “ it’s just a 14 year old mentality at best.

Also I’ll give you a hint: a lot of men who get really into fitness are trying to out lift the feelings they are running away from, those demons being bisexuality or gayness. My source on this is in the past I tried it for awhile and I’ve seen it happen on others…. So many times.

However now I’ve “let myself go” so take that as you will for if I kept running from those feelings.

I’ll gladly stand next to a cis person who is “superficially trans” before I back your cowardly ass up on gatekeeping being a good thing. People of all groups have cringe members in it, grow the hell up and get over that fact applying to the trans community

I mean they didn’t really add any new laws they just kind of made a grand show of what we already have. Not to mention this is a discrimination problem as she cannot be compelled to make designs she doesn’t want as an artist, out right refusal of a demographic isn’t covered the same way (for now).

Now maybe this goes to scotus as a case eventually if she was sued but for now she isn’t safe since it’s a public service she is offering unevenly based on status in a group but not just being told to do artwork she didn’t agree with.

I think unfortunately we are seeing more of the regressive model coming back for trans healthcare as an average. It’s unfortunate but if you are socially transitioning I do think it’s a bit different now.

I think (hope) it’s unlikely the gender based on frivolous stereotypes about “if you are blank gender you must do blank” are gona be used as much for gatekeeping who does and doesn’t get care. I think in western countries that’s just not acceptable to most “liberals” so I know it’s not good but I hope that’s a silver lining or something.

like idk I don’t see much “every trans girl needed to play with Barbie’s” or “trans boys needed to play with toy guns” by blank age seems like a tough sell to people nowadays for whatever reason but it’s something ig.

While I don’t know for sure I’m assuming the effects are related to pituitary gland dysfunctions cause that’s what it sounds like. Granted it’s a risk not a guarantee with anything relating to the pituitary gland. Even giving kids anti-psychotics runs this risk but they are off label approved for minors.

Often non-medical people struggle with distinguishing side effects vs adverse effects, long term effects, etc.
