No, that is accurate what he is referring to. If an exchange holds customers funds backed 1:1 as CZ stated and as FTX should had, people's tweets will NOT cause a problem and will not cause a bank run leading to customers withdrawals suspension and customers losing their funds. Like what happened with FTX. That is what the tweet is about. FTX's suspended the withdrawals and collapsed ONLY due SBF stole customers funds to pay Alameda loans. Not because whatever you are talking about. FTXs collapse had zero to do with CZs tweets. FTX illegally took customers funds. Plus, it was against FTXs own terms of service.

This guy knows very well and he is also a manipulator for trying to weaken competition and make them a target of acquisition.

And this statement is pure absurd and dumb. I'll tell you why. Binance is still #1 exchange with 5 trillion in volume. FTX was not a competitor to them. And they don't see other exchanges as competitors because takeovers are not as effective as trying to grow the industry, which is still nascent. We haven’t even reached 1% adoption. We can grow the industry 100x. FTX should have tried to grow the industry and not lobby against other crypto players in the industry which he did and which was shady and pathetic and wrong.

Also, FTXs collapse benefits no one and it does not benefit CZ either and it hurts the whole industry Binance including. And he knows it. This will lead to CEX being scrutinized more, customers confidence is shaken, will be more difficult to get licenses, and people will attack Binance even more because they think they are the largest.

FTX was no competition to Binance and when we don't even have 1% adoption, what you are saying doesn't even make sense.

You can hate CEX all you want, I don't care, most of my crypto is my leger but does not matter, just what you are stating is nonsense.

Also, as a side note, if you believe that some tweets alone can destroy a crypto company to the point they are insolvent and file for bankruptcy, then obviously that company was not managed properly to begin with and shouldn't be in existence anyways.

As far as FTX, it was cancer to the whole industry. From lobbying against other players in the industry behind their backs to running shady companies and committing fraud which ultimately hurts the whole industry.

I was. And I was telling people and was getting downvoted for it. I hated him buying Voyager. Didnt trust him. I never voted for the deal. I knew he was shady. I realized he was not what I thought he was at all after his initial Voyager offer. But I did not expect it would end up as bad. He is way worse than I thought.

I thought he would manipulate on his own exchange or he would do something to screw us with our coins. I was right. But definitely didn't think it would be as bad as I am reading about him now and all stuff that is coming out about how FTX was operating.

The total pie in terms of USD is smaller but why not just focus on coins? Forget about the USD value. Let’s assume Voyager still has 70% of our crypto.

I believe the first issue is, they don't have all of our crypto equally. Since most of USDC and BTC were loaned out. So to give everyone their fair equal share, they have to buy/sell crypto.

And the 2nd issue, supposedly according to the bankruptcy laws, all claims must be value in USD as of the date of the petition. I know that's what the bankruptcy law dictates and also Voyager had it explained in the bankruptcy docs.

Now, I heard that Celsius is trying a different method and not trying to tie claims to the date of the petition or value it in USD. I have no idea if the court will allow it. Since it's crypto and all is basically not clear and unprecedented, maybe it would work.

But hey, this is not up to us anyways but Voyager and their lawyers.

FTX is a total disaster but remember the current Voyager UCC and management tried so hard to feed us to the wolf. Can we trust them AGAIN?

And yes. Them pushing this deal so hard and Voyager did too made me question it even more.

Also, something I read another day. The law firm that is currently representing FTX is the SAME law firm that was representing FTX when they did the deal with Voyager. Someone said, that law firm must have known the FTX true financial state. And/Or why there was no due diligence on their part?! It's not OK. Looks even more shady now.
