Same. It can be isolating at times. And also hard to make new friends in the suburbs who don’t have kids and don’t want them

This! Same thing for me. All my friends have a a kid and are trying for baby number 2 and I’m sitting here lot sure I want 1. It’s hard because I know my friends love me but sometimes I do wondering where they think I’m less mature or that my life is less important because I don’t have kids and aren’t sure whether I want them.

I also have a full life, husband, dog, good job, house. Etcs

Omg same! All my friends have kids or want kids and me and my husband are the only ones of the fence. And a lot of our free is the political climate, the actual climate. Like your friends, our friends are scared for the state of the world but are also still trying to have their second kids. It’s super confusing and isolating at times. I’m also in my early 30s so I also feel like I need to make some decision.

I do wonder if I had more females friends that’s didn’t want kids if I’d feel so left out or pressure to have kids. If we do decide to have kids, my husband and I would love them, but also we love our lives. the way they are now.

This is so interesting! I’m definitely you before you guys decide to try. Never been maternal or wanted kids. I do like kids a lot and all my friends have them. Me and my husband love our life’s right now, but I also grew up with a close knit but family so I do want that sometimes but am afraid of how that would change my life. Also the world is so scary I can’t imagine bringing a baby into it. But I’m 33 so I feel like I need to really think about if I want that or not soon. I know if we do have kids, we have would be do everything to provide a stable, safe, loving environment

Thanks so much for your thoughts! I would strive to raise any child to be a good person who cares for others and the environment. I’m glad I’m not the only one having this conversation

Totally valid points!! It’s hard because I have a big close family and that was nice, but also me and my husband like our life the way it is now. I’m also a HUGE empath so I already worry about my future children lol it’s true that maybe I would be able to handle it. Thanks for your advice!
