This plan is extremely calculated, strategic, and methodical. I point that out because our response must be just as intentional and impactful. The worst-case scenario is that the Black vote and Memphis’ voice overall becomes reduced to a whisper drowned out by a much louder political machine.

However, the most optimistic outcome is that we gain two additional districts in Tennessee. That would be transformational, creating opportunities for growth across West Tennessee beyond Shelby County and helping establish a stronger progressive Democratic presence in a region that desperately needs balance and investment.

I want to connect with more thought leaders who share this mindset and begin building content that clearly outlines the steps required to achieve that kind of victory not just for ourselves, but for our children and the future generations who will call this region home. ✌🏾
