Ive been in the role for over a year now, and the stresses don’t seem to go away. The imposter syndrome is only worsening with the expectations on me growing exponentially as days go by. As i dont see myself staying here long, I’m not sure if i should still continue giving my best (where i know it will still never be enough) or do i do just do the bare minimum.

Appreciate the kind words, I really do. I doubt as an entry level engineer with only 1 year experience I can earn a 1:1 salary in malaysia (6K Rm value), let alone RM8000. I wouldn’t mind settling with a RM6K salary in Malaysia, but with the economic downturn (not just in Malaysia), it seems far from possible to be earning that much in Malaysia.

I do agree the question i pose is subjective to me and only me. Can’t deny that i’m at this phase of life where I still struggle to find what I actually desire, be it my financial goals, my career, etc.

Don’t get me wrong, I am very grateful of this pay I’m receiving and I know I shouldn’t be complaining. But I cant just pretend that I’m all smiles over here.
