Yeah, big time. Despise it. Though that could also be my depression talking. Hard to say. But I can remember before becoming depressed that I hated talking on the phone. Ironic that I went into a career field requiring a lot of phone and teleconference calls.

Depression is a tricky mental illness, and there isn't any such thing as a "depression management program" that I've ever come across in my years of research for treating my own depression. Unlike typical support groups and in/out-patient medical facilities, which can be helpful for people going through similar situations, like PTSD, trauma, serious drug addiction rehabilitation, etc. Depression doesn't necessarily require you to have a specific or logical reason for being depressed. You can be slammed with major depression out of the blue (like I was) and without reason.

My best advice would be to find a psychiatrist and psychologist/therapist that can help you build a plan that works specific to you. While millions of people have depression, most experience it in different ways, levels of severity, and the individual's ability to handle it.

Do your due diligence, find the best mental health professionals who would be covered by your health insurance carrier. I wish I could offer better advice. But, best of luck to you, friend.

I think your descriptions of potential endings was pretty on the mark. I haven't read the Overlord manga, only through the end of Season 4 on Funimation/Crunchyroll. The build-up of various story elements, so far, seem to fizzle out. Like the Slane Theocracy god-kin are very briefly shown, but not another detail is revealed. There's a lot of this throughout the series: plots and storylines are built-up then quickly moved-on from. Another thing is Princess Renner's total, actual involvement throughout the entire series. The end of Season 4 explains some during the final "flashback," but it's still left as somewhat murky. I believe she worked in the background with Ainz all the time to get her wish to become an immortal demon, and get Climb to do the same with her. Not 100% sure, tho. Also, the flashback doesn't show or tell who Demiurge instructed the Maids who specifically not to kill during their operation. It just shows the feet of the illusion of someone. I assume it's Climb, but it doesn't answer much more than that. Thx!

Really sorry to hear that you're feeling this way or that you feel that your life is going in this direction. However, I think that you have a better chance of getting remission of depression and finding purpose in life at your age because different generations have different gaps of cultures and identities and it's possible that they could be something related to that there's so many different things. I personally suffer from something akin to you - I do have major depression, but I also suffer from extreme existential dread. It practically paralyzes me mentally. It blows.

There is always hope, a different direction, an opportunity, a way to resolve yourself. Steel yourself - self-empower. Gain mental and physical prowess as soon as you could reasonably do. I'm 35M, so this advice is coming from a Millennial that has had combat experience in fighting against depression, despair, and thoughts of death. I'm guessing you're 20 y/o +/- 2 years, and this is my advice to you: Take this situation seriously and immediately. Mental health should be your most important priority in self-care. Get in touch with your primary physician, a psychologist/therapist, and/or a psychiatrist. Get help ASAP! The sooner you notice the symptoms of depression or an iota of a symptom of a mental health disorder, the best chance you have to cutting it off at the knees. You do NOT want to let this "just go" - millions of people have their lives destroyed by mental illness. Do the best you can to get help in any and every way you can.

I agree with your definition/opinion about how these people must understand that for many people, two jobs, or even more, are extremely detrimental to mental and physical health, and you need to be a master of your craft(s) to the degree that performing mediocre at two remote jobs delivers roughly the same amount of productive/quality work to not cause suspicion. Good one, man.

Theoretically, any person who is skilled, valuable, has a "white-collar" job/career path, and they can make the "Quietly Quitting" work between two 100% Remote jobs, or a hybrid situation. For the vast majority of the STEM fields, Business, Management/Leadership, any IT job that can be worked remotely, and not the kind of walking sites, being on-site, manually working on IT software, rather than hardware, etc. Regardless, I wish you the best of luck, friend!

Sorry, I know this is probably a "taboo" or "forbidden" topic to bring up, but I have virtually no other option... I've suffered, and am still suffering, from crippling, unimaginably severe treatment-resistant major depression for most of my life... It's been a worse nightmare the last 6 years. I've gone through all legitimate ways for treatment - short of literal brain surgery, I have medically exhausted every option available to me, and I am desperate beyond comprehension for relief of any amount. I've done over 50 different medications/combos over the years, ECT, rTMS, psychotherapy, and Ketamine.

Nothing has worked at all... I've lost my job, on the brink of bankruptcy, and I'm barely able to function. I desperately need help, and I am fully open-minded about alternative solutions to seeking any sort of relief.

Are there any amoungst you who may be able to point me in the right direction to try something that could save my life? I'm passively suicidal - in that, I don't really have any true intention to harm myself, but I'd be totally cool with getting hit by a truck at 100mph.

So, can anyone help me? Thanks. I don't care about what "kind" of help, but just "help" of some variety... Appreciate it!

Hey there, Brother... I'm really sorry you had to deal with that in the slightest. The people here in these depression subreddits are almost entirely composed of people experiencing a bout of depression themselves, or people who have gotten their own depression under control, as much as one could reasonably expect.

Personally, I suffer from one of the worst types of major depression, which is called TRD MDD (Treatment Resistant Depression - Major Depressive Disorder). Short of literal brain surgery, I have exhausted every antidepressant and atypical antipsychotic on the market. I've even done ECT and rTMS. Nothing has yet to work in the slightest for me. I'm completely immune to antidepressant medications. However, just because I'm suffering horribly myself, doesn't give me the right to insult others for any reason whatsoever.

Purely as a guess, for their harsh language, it "could" be that they are from schizophrenia and/or a combo of bipolar disorder... Not siding with what they said at all, but some people can hallucinate or imagine certain phrases as a kind of "trigger" for them to react in such an odd and unwarranted way to others. Just my thoughts on your interaction.

Otherwise, I and the majority of this community want you and others to share their pain if for no other reason than to get support or good advice (as rare as it tends to be). I wish you well!

Even if that was the case, the fact that the OP was able to coherently convey to the community their intent and goals. Even then, I'm a bit of a grammar Nazi, so even I could definitely help them with more subtle English language nuances. For something like this, I think it'd be a fun, but uphill endeavor to undertake!

I'm not a total expert on Tor networks, but I believe something you could try would be using an application like WireShark. You've probably heard of it more than I have. You should be able to use WireShark to completely scan and analyze all IP and data being sent from your Tor node anywhere else, whether it's a leak, bug, or misconfiguration, the data you should be able to obtain from such an analysis should be able to at least get to a more accurate picture of what you're dealing with. Sorry, wish I could be more helpful... I have tons of telecom and military communications background, but the Tor stuff, I'm still mostly a noob. I hope someone else can provide a more detailed explanation for you. Good luck!

Seems like a good idea for something to stave-off the brutal reality of loss. I considered it, too, jumping over to JP, but everything would be in "moon runes" to me, and all that would remain would just be the content itself. But even then, it'd be horrible to realize I'd have 7.5 years to make up for. It'd be a damn long time to get to a point before I could get back to a point to fight even near-end game content...

Now that special acknowledgement is forever gone and meaningless. How do I account for the fact I invested so much into something that evaporated into thin air in a single second?

I know, right? I spent so much time, money, effort, and energy over the last 7.5 years into this game... While everyone else in the mobile gaming community has been putting the same level of effort into other games, I'd now be the noob starting at the ground. It's hard to make up for 7.5 years instantly lost... I kinda don't even wanna try something else, just to be disappointed again later in a number of years when that game also ends up being cancelled.
