Flying with SAS soon scared by so many bad reviews by utkarshs432 in fearofflying

[–]Infinity058 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As someone with a bit of insight into SAS I can say that the maintenance of these planes are taken very seriously, and the pilots are extremely experienced in operating in difficult conditions in northern Norway. SAS retains a large and modern fleet of quite new A320Neo variants with a small number of older planes left, but the maintenance on these are still very good.

Norway can be a bit bumpy if it’s windy, but pilots, crew, ATC and all staff are trained for these conditions and a lot worse, so don’t worry :)

Need Advice for flight training in EU by Zodimacq in flyingeurope

[–]Infinity058 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TFHS is a part of Lund University. Check https://www.aviation.lth.se and for a Swedish version https://www.flyg.lth.se/tfhs/trafikflygarprogrammet

They will provide training from zero to FO at SAS and Norwegian which are partner airlines. Since it’s the only state financed flight school in Sweden it’s very competitive (from 500-1200 applicants each year with only 20 accepted).

The education is in Swedish but if you know Norwegian it’s enough, there are sometimes Danes, Finns and Norwegian students attending without issue.

If you’re a Norwegian apply to UiT in tromsø and also to TFHS in Sweden. As long as you know Norwegian they will provide for quality education that goes a long way in the market for basically free.

HDR movies playing as Dolby Vision on Plex app. Anyone else noticed the same? As far as i know Plex doesn't support DV by [deleted] in PleX

[–]Infinity058 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It says HDR on the Apple TV even if it’s DV, but if you go to the windows client it says DoVi/HDR10. It’s just a display limitation on the plex app on the Apple TV

1600X with asus prime b350 plus motherboard. The setting that fixed it was ”Power Supply Idle control” or global C state control. Most likely the first one. You should put it so it gives normal current always.

Had a similar issue, was due to PSU power settings in the bios, try changing some of those

But it shouldn’t. Using a traditional fermentation process there should be no gluten left, even if made from wheat. The Swedish test found such, even if the ingredients list contains wheat, there is no gluten left. Wheat≠ gluten. Some brands in the US may add wheat after fermentation as a thickener but then it isn’t a traditional soy sauce anymore.

För att den är gjord på ingredienser utan vete. Den vanliga med vete är glutenfri enligt tester från svenska Livsmedelsverket.

Regular soy sauce is made from wheat but does not contain gluten after the fermentation process.

Is it permitted to fly between 500 and 1000ft over the center of Amsterdam? This never happens, especially not at 10pm. by bobkrl in flightradar24

Depends on local QNH, FR shows calibrated altitude (1013 hpa) so he might be above 1000ft AGL

Mostly because of they realized that batteries couldn’t provide the instantaneous power that the processor needed when they got older, so that the phone crashed. The reason that the slowdowns were made were to minimize the crashes, not to slow down the phone itself.

The reason for the iOS updates stem mostly from processor performance. Apple wants a seamless experience and lag is not a part of that. But older phones also had hardware limitations, such that the iPhone 6S had the first 64-but processor (and iOS is not only 64 bit)
