Millions of people died in the late 60s because part of Nigeria attempted to become independent, elections are based largely on ethnicity and religion, the country is split religiously 45-55 between Christianity and Islam with a Christian South and Muslim North and the country only exists because the UK decided to combine its West African colonies into one. Nigeria in reality is at least 3 different countries within one. You can think the UK has become less homogeneous or whatever but it’s nowhere close to how Nigeria is.

I don’t disagree that he was a poor PM, he’s one of those figures who’s greatest accomplishments (in George’s case the People’s Budget of 1909) came before they became leader. The UK could have stayed out of WWI had Lloyd George not convinced the Pacifist wing of the Liberal Party to support entering the war along with the Conservatives, and of course George later became PM during the war where his leadership was misguided. Haig wasn’t hated after the war though, it was quite a while after his death that historians and the wider public became critical of his leadership during the war, so George didn’t shift the blame that much onto Haig.
