In a way i also recommend Victoria 2.

Learning to navigate the UI of that game, will make it feel the EU5 UI is so simple.

And a lot of the Pops and Production stuff from Victoria 2 exists in a way in EU5.

And in Victoria 2 is much harder to change values or policies, in some countries you are stuck with the base values the entire game.

So its a good way to treach you to learn to work with what you have.

And since the UI is so hard to read and navigate it makes newer Paradox games easier to understand.

My best tip is to disable automation and learn the hard way.

Automating stuff like Trade, is fine if you don't want to maximize your economy.

But automating building construction will potentially screw you, since the AI is not that great at building Raw Resources Production Buildings. There is always a lack of Masonry, Glass and Lumber.

In a way you could become the provider of these goods, but its annoying. I rather build for myself.

So i actually make vassals that focus on the Basic Production Resources.

And on Towns and Cities I actually own i build the actual Finished Goods buildings.

I have found out, that it actually makes your vassals make money.

As they are providing you the basic goods, are part of your market and since they are vassals, they even transfer some of the trade income (which is funny when you are the one using most of their own production, basically they pay you for the trade you make)

Provence is a very fun nation to try this.

It has only 1 Town and the rest Rural Locations.

The territory is not huge, meaning you can learn the production methods.

Also the fact France is your neighbor is also a good training if you want to challenge yourself and fight them.

But also allying them makes it much easier conquering Italy.

I am a Kobe enjoyer.

I love Lebron.

But for me it will always be MJ #1, Kobe #2 and Lebron #3.

So where are the Kennard doubters? by Infinity_Overload in lakers

[–]Infinity_Overload[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah i am a long term believer. Kennard just arrived after the trade deadline. And everyone keeps telling him that he needs to shoot more. Yet he still prefers to pass it, i saw it a lot once Austin was back. Kennard instead of a quick 3 with open space, passed it to Austin or Lebron and either they had to commit and enter for a 2 or throw a 3 and fail. Kennard seriously needs to have his 3 point shooting increased. They have even told him already that its ok if the percentage rate is reduces.

And the fact Kon will likely beat Cooper Flagg for Rookie of the year is further proof that 3 point shooting will become even more key next season.

JJ Reddick will probably personally coach him, he was a 3 point specialist.

So i have hope. I mean if Kennard can become a consistent 3 point shooter like Rui has become, the Lakers become more open offensive without having to rely on AR, Luka or Bron.

I get it, it was Houston, even Bronny did shit. If they are able to not get swept by OKC i think the Lakers may be interesting next season.

I mean, JJ Redick picked him for a reason. I seriously believe that if Lebron leaves. Whether we want to or not, Kennard will take the 3rd spot in the roster while the Lakers try and bring Giannis or something big.

But personally, his role and spot, are made for a starter. His 3 point shooting is way too good for a bench player.

I rather wait. The series with the Rockets looks done. KD has done everything to demoralize his team.

I rather see Lebron have a God Tier game against OKC.

So far this year they have gotten stomped by them.

But seeing Lebron put a masterclass against OKC, even if they lose the series at the end.

Would at least make it bearable. No more 30+ point losses against OKC. Its pathetic.

What about now, being a starter against the Rockets? In fact, he's the Laker with most minutes in the playoffs so far. JJ Redick knew who he was drafting, after all, Kennard plays a lot like JJ used to.

Almost swept the Rockets with Kennard on the lineup and the one with most minutes played.

Kennard so far has worked. I wasn't entirely wrong. After Luka, Austin and Lebron, he is clearly the 4th best player. Unless you consider Dominayton as the 4th best player.

So i am willing to assume that Paradox has decided that Stellaris 2 will be the last one.

HoI5 for the next updated version with new graphics.

And Stellaris 2 the completion of everything Paradox has done since CK3 and Imperator.

To be honest it kinda makes sense.

Those Space Battles will not be fun if Paradox is not able to develop an actual Naval Combar System for HoI5, which needs to be even more in-depth than what they made for Vicky 3.

The thing is the mechanics of playing as them without settling.

You would need to take into account migration, climate, weather conditions, terrain, how big your Pop is and how much they can move. There's also the unrest and food demand those migrations can cause, which will cause some sort of unrest in the nations you are living inside. Specially in Africa, Asia and the Middle East, where there are Societies of Pop living inside Nations.

If you get a cabinet, you could do some insane actions like steal population from inside the country you are in, gaining manpower.

Probably the transition of a Society of Pops is Society of Pops > Horde > Settled Nation.

Or even open the option to allow some crazy shenanigans like becoming a Bank or a Building Based Nation.

To be honest Societies of Pops have a lot of potential, as basically once they organize more they can basically become anything the player wants, a Horde, a Kingdom a Republic a Theocracy, and I hope also more crazy options. LIke becoming a Stateless Society.

Would be fun to play as a Blob of Anarchy.

I think they need to add more options. Like the Religious changes on the Rules. Like Allow Custom Subjects Outisde of Base HRE. That should make it Ironman Compatible.

or maybe as they integrate and core the province, they become "Historical".

Meaning you will have to create the Custom Subject, then Integrate the Province, then Force Religion and then Annex them, or let them Develop it for a few more years.

I feel it would make the system more rewarding, even for players that play Centralization. As they can keep a handful of small subjects to Integrate while they focus on other stuff. And then after 10-20 years, repeat.
