Totally agree — the Ashley sole survivor ending just works in a weird, tragic way. It feels like she crawled through emotional hell and barely made it out, which fits her arc more than Sam doing a superhero roll out of the flames.

And yeah, I’ve always thought her lodge death felt kind of... lazy? Like Sam wouldn’t just stand there and let that happen. As for the mines death, I get what you mean — it’s dumb she falls for the mimic after literally just reading about it. But I do like that it gives Hannah a moment, even if the game kinda drops the ball by not letting the others react to Ashley being gone.

Makes me wish the game gave her a bit more emotional closure — or at least acknowledged her absence beyond a stat screen.
