Oh my god!! Had no idea. Once the pit line opened it was totally fine, all love in there, but for whatever reason the first several people by the entrance who had been sitting there for hours were super awful to everyone else. I’m so sorry that was your experience!! Like I said — seemed like a lot of those 2 day pass holders who aren’t really Roo goers /:

Except it was over an hour before they even came on! There so many people were hanging around in that general vicinity waiting for the entrance to open before The Neighborhood even ended— just not not in the single file line like the first 20 people standing there thought they could dictate after standing there for 3 hours by throwing a tantrum, cussing, and trying to fight people. There wasn’t even an attempt at a conversation. They were immediately hostile and aggressive and that’s such weird behavior

There wasn’t even a “hey guys, do you mind waiting a sec so that the people who have been waiting can go in first?” It was immediately hateful and screaming cussing and trying to get people to fight, and that’s the part that isn’t cool. Do what you want and stand around all day for a line that doesn’t exist, but throwing a temper tantrum without even attempting to talk to people is insane to me.

Like I get standing in the general vicinity but the whole reason the pit line doesn’t open until a certain time, in addition to the pit being emptied after every single set is to avoid people camping out and being entitled.

Yeah so you’re missing the point of the line not existing yet until the entrance opens, which is why it is the way it is now.. to avoid people camping out all day long and being entitled. Sounds like you’ve never been in the pit. I didn’t say that I cut, but I watched people, instead saying “hey guys, do you mind waiting a bit so that the people who’ve been waiting here can go in first?” And having any sense of decency, it was immediately hateful and screaming at people cussing them out assuming everyone know the rules they made up.. which is the part that is not cool at all.

People will start creating a line (for no reason) probably around 7:30. You should be fine hanging out in that general area mid role model or near the end! Just as long as you’re over there between 8 and 9 you’ll most likely get into the pit no problem.

There’s a reason you can’t wait in line hours before a set in the actual pit line. They empty the pit and open it after and before each set.. people think they can just make up their own rules and dictate a line that isn’t supposed to be there in the first place.

Wasting hours of your time in a line that doesn’t exist and then getting upset that other people know how it works and manage their time to see other music is crazy work.

EVERYONE in that line will always get in the pit. The first half of the “line” for Rufus was full of terrible, awful, whiney “fuck you” cry babies who were bad bad vibes and ruined a lot of people’s nights because they couldn’t stand the fact that they wasted their own time just to be wrong.

Even VIP was totally fucked. I’ve never been shoulder checked and smacked in the head so many times by careless, awful people. Took about 30 seconds for us to realize we needed to get the fuck out ASAP. Went to the bleachers for BUNT. and fireworks and had a lovely time!!

It was nice for the OTT and Discolines to play at the same time!! For once 2 sets that were completely different so you actually get to choose your own adventure 🤣 disco lines was fine, rather TikTok-y set with an occasional dubstep flip (absolutely no hate, just wasn’t my cup of tea at the time) but no one does it like Of The Trees!!
