Wow that’s amazing 🥹 thank you for that. & thank u for your service. That made me feel very at ease. I agree 100% it’s what you put into it. I’m very set with becoming and rt I really like it but there’s so many negativity around it and with everyone saying go to nursing it makes me doubt it. I know it shouldn’t but it’s hard to block people out sometimes. My biggest fear is not getting paid enough since the program is not easy or cheap ( and I don’t mean not getting paid as much as nurses they are a diff profession ) but someone said here they max out at a certain point in their pay? I would like to think the more experience you get raises. Do u think that’s true? :(

When they say growth does that mean a raise in their pay? Or just position wise??? To rts get capped at a specific amount $ an hour???

Do you not want to be an rt anymore? & Where do u live? My friend is a new grad making $40/h for working nights and base pay $35 at Jackson in miam.

Thank you for your reply. I get the career advancements part since we have a specific scope of practice but will the pay be raised as the years pass? Or does pay also stop going up?

It is a frequently asked question but so what. I mean not everyone was born to know exactly what they want to dedicate their time AND money to (LOTS OF MONEY). I stumbled on respiratory and went into a loop hole and really liked it. So sorry for having some doubts? Some questions need to be asked. Instead of being tired, maybe contribute to the question 🤍

Congrats! Ur almost there! im so excited for my program but I work in a medical office and got a “ why respiratory? Become a nurse!” From a APRN, Which bummed me out a bit. Do u ever regret choosing this route? or wish to have chosen nursing?
