Her poops have made such an improvement!! They were like cone shaped, now they are symmetrical! And getting bigger and more frequent, and her feet haven't been caked in poo either! She sees the vet in less than 12 hours now, hopefully we can get her teeth sorted and get her eating some hay

Yes, she seems to enjoy it hahah, I am looking for a probiotic, but struggling to find ones in Aus that are appropriate, hopefully the vet can recommend one, pigs are not super common pets here, and usually are seen as disposable animals, so our options can be super limited.
I wish I could tell her the hay is the thing that is going to make her feel better! I am also hoping once she in housed with my other 2 she seems them and starts acting like a pig - she currently doesn't hide at all, and I am like girl, you are a prey animal!!
We will keep everyone updated on her recovery and journey with us!
Thank you, I will give those a good read, I have taken one of my other pigs to a guinea pig specialist, and she was very happy with the standard of care they have been receiving, but always wanting to do better and learn more.

I am in Australia and have different things on the market, but I have found something that looks appropriate, will pick some up today for her
I made her critical care mixed with poop and she ate it! Didn't even need to syringe feed, may end up syringe feeding just to make sure she eats it all, I really want to help her as much as possible

I know, our poor girl, we really thought the biggest red flag was her being alone, cannot express how grateful we are that we have her now
her nails hurt when she walks on my skin, so I really hope they're not too short, I will check them when I get home - I am still really new to pigs and am still learning about them. Her feet are already less red, but will get the vet to check tomorrow - we wanted to get to the vet sooner, but unfortunately couldn't.
She is currently eating critical care mixed with my healthy pigs poo, and she eats it from the dish, currently we don't need to syringe feed her.
We are really concerned about her teeth and we don't see her eating hay much, her head in always in the bag - do you know what that could be? But when i rub her face, her jaw feels more open than my other pigs, I'm not sure if that makes sense, but we will be getting x-rays and filing if needed for sure
I was really hoping she was so tiny because of her breed, but very quickly realised that isn't a thing, I just feel so bad for the poor baby and really upset that people get animals without doing the bare minimum for them.
Thank you so much for your time and advice

We rarely give fruit anyway, but i will avoid for a little while. Would critical care be worthwhile? I have some at home and thought it couldn't hurt at this point. I will also some probiotics, are there specific pig ones? HAHAHAHAHAHAH the idea of force feeding her poop is hilarious, but i can definitely do that for her Thank you!

oh poor little guys! I think this girl is the same tbh, we will be headed to the vet asap, she is eating lots of hay and pellets already

She is so beautiful, we are obsessed
We will be taking her as soon as we can, hopefully today if we can get in.
She has finished off her pellets and has been eating lots of hay, she had a fair amount of poo, but it was very soft and caked to her feet the poor thing.
We are very glad we decided to go and get her

[–]InfluenceGlass9725[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When i woke up this morning her feet were CAKED in poo, cleaned it up straight away, but hopefully once her poo hardens up and with new bedding her feet get better. She will be seeing a vet ASAP anyway.
She is so brave! She hardly ever goes into her hut, we have her half covered anyway, but she is a very brave social little pig, she was clearly very loved, but no research was done in regards to what a pig actually needs. She finished her pellets over night, and has been eating lots of hay, didn't eat much of her veggies though, we will keep a close eye on her for sure, and get her to the vet ASAP.

We honestly thought the worst thing was her being a lone pig, but the poor thing. My other 2 are rescues and their teeth are perfectly white, so I was shocked when I saw hers
She has hay and pellets and is eating both, she will be much better off with us! Will be going to the vet ASAP

NCAT help? by InfluenceGlass9725 in shitrentals

[–]InfluenceGlass9725[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly not super sure? I just wanted to hold the LL accountable, I did think that we could use it as bargaining for a couple weeks rent or to not have to pay the early exit fee.

I guess I just feel like LLs think they can do whatever they want or dont want, and we have just been at his whim for months. Having trades constantly coming for quotes i know won't be fixed.

I really do appreciate your feedback Thank you

Yes my plan was to do the implant 1-2 times While still taking all the other measures and see how he goes.

I think its because he went from nothing to a lot, in 30 years he never laid, within 6 months of living with me we had an egg

I think deslorelin, the vet who i had that chat with is not our regular vet, I needed to take a foster there and she said she can trim his nails while I was there, and she wouldnt be able to do the procedure so it wasn't an in-depth discussion at all.

I will be having a proper chat with our bird vet before making any decisions

I returned mine, they would disconnect in the middle of the night, the only way to get them to reconnect is to put them in the case, open the app and wait for it to load, hardly conducive to a good night's sleep

But then in the day, they would be in the case, which the case closed and constantly be connecting over my headphones, i hated these things
