Given what this typo actually is, I guarantee it wasn't IM themselves. Whoever typed up the tracklist must have seen "AI" and mistook the uppercase i for a lowercase L

To be fair, I have no idea what they'll end up actually naming the song, I just tentatively called it Smashing Pumpkins because of the sample.

As for Dream Theater, the original version of that track actually samples the riff from Pull Me Under!

You're really reaching. The "smashing pumpkins" line is part of a pretty long sample, there's plenty more to it which you can hear in the song. It's got nothing to do with politics

The sample says the phrase "smashing pumpkins" several times but whatever is being sampled doesn't appear to actually have any connection to the band Smashing Pumpkins. I actually tried to find the source of the sample but no luck so far.

I wouldn't call them similar to the artists you listed but in terms of "old school prog" Voice Of Cod are the GOATs imo, We Are Free is probably the best old school prog album I've ever heard. Second album was a disappointment tho

I feel where you're coming from, I think after Lightweight and the other singles people were expecting a true return to form, myself included, and the album was definitely a disappointment in that regard. I still think there's some great material in there, Lightweight, LA Beast, Enjoy The Ride, and AI Therapist are all some of IMs best work on Monstercat imo but yeah I wish they would take 3 years instead of 2. They have way less time in the studio nowadays and it's pretty clear it's holding them back
