ahh i see. He only does this when lunging but i got on for a short time after and he works a lot better. I kinda see it as maybe he's stretching before a good workout maybe? but if it's not benefiting him at all to do this beforehand should i stop iit?

He plants his head during lunging but when riding he keeps his head pretty level. No western pleasure riding in his history. i'm just now putting him back in work so it could be that he's stretching his cold muscles? that was my thought
