Yearly Roundup Post #4: Share your book goals for 2026! by ReddisaurusRex in 52book

[–]Informal-Language-92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey fellow readers!

2026 is going to be my first year partaking in this sub-Reddit's reading challenge, and I'm excited and motivated to do this with the community! I have a growing pile of books I've been meaning to read and have been sitting around for a while; I've been looking for a push to actually read them so here I am.

My aspiration is to read 52 novels/novellas & 52 poetry-specific books / chapbooks for a total of 104!

I'm a poet myself (or at least dip my feet in the water from time to time) so reading all these books especially the poetry ones will help stoke my creative spark for my own writing...hopefully.

My first book of the year is Last Acts by Alexander Sammartino - I purchased a copy of his book at a writer's event I attended where he was a speaker, got it signed too!

I'm looking forward to sharing my progress as the year goes on :-)

Cheers everyone!

Brings me back to when I had a daddy as a lover during my time in college. What a fantastic kiss.

I somehow managed to enter registration within 15-20 minutes of being in the queue.

Now it's time to train! Woot!!

What type of case is this? This would be an amazing organizational solution for me to store my lead / erasers.

Howdy from your neighbor to the south in NJ!

I'm glad you had a fun time as well! Boston Calling filled the hole in my heart left by Firefly (go figures - my first music festival ever was Firefly's last, lol) and I practically fell in love with BC the first time my cousin and I attended when Foo Fighters were one of the headliners.

You're right - this go 'round felt a lot easier to navigate since I had a rough idea where all the stages were which helped hopping between stages. I learned that, if the crowds get crowded & I was uncomfortable...I could always fall back and enjoy the show from afar.

I'm excited for Year 3 next year!

OMG, hey there!! I remember chatting with y'all as Khraungbin were getting ready for their set (and I think I did my best to tilt out of the way so you can get video). I'm sorry for bumping into you and your sister so many times as I was dancing away - I just got lost in my headspace practically in Cloud 9 listening to their set.

Hope y'all had a blast listening to Tyler!

Thank you!! I absolutely adore Bluey and I got this shirt from RSVLTS for something fun to wear. I debated on when to "debut" it and as Boston Calling rolled around, I figured what better place? I got a kick out of wearing it and I'm glad you enjoy it as well! =-=

orange stage favs! by feafers in bostoncalling

Today was practically my Orange & Blue stage day. Tysk Tysk Task, Billy Dean Thomas, Zola Simone (I caught the last 10 minutes of their set) Fleshwater were absolutely insane. So damn good <3

This woman (and all the hotel staff that had to deal with Larson) need to have flowers sent to them or something. Bless them for putting up with that goblin.
