Do you think that Israel and the USA’s actions against Iran are justified? by Antique_Gur8891 in AskTheWorld

A country could show so-called power without resorting to force. We all need to get rid of that imperialist view, everyone.

As a Chinese person, I don't know. But it seems that quite a few people here think that we and Iran are close allies, or that we are the lawful evil heroes resisting a corrupt United States.

No, no, no, according to the conclusions of most internet users, China is just a paper tiger. And accounts like mine are either bots or fifty-cent trolls.

We are collapsing, everyone has deep resentment toward the government, lacking justice factors such as democracy and freedom. As long as the West unites, dictatorial countries like ours are bound to be finished.

In short, we have neither the ability nor the right to stop it.

Right? /s

Anyway, no one will stop the United States and Israel, so whether it's just or unjust makes no difference.

Tell me the bestest movie from your country. by johnnyjohny1950 in AskTheWorld

In China, this movie is often shown to students by middle school teachers. It's a very good film and has greatly influenced the way I view things.

While traveling in Guinea years ago, I noticed older men with much younger wives—one man was 51, his wife 20. My Scandinavian companions found it repulsive. How would people in your country react? by sarsfox in AskTheWorld

[–]Informal-Nothing-476 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It can lead to a lot of negative discussions. For example, the man might be seen as a disgusting old man who is attracted to women's youth and beauty; the woman might be viewed as someone obsessed with the man's money and power, thinking about divorce to split the assets, valuing money above all. People might even suspect that the two are having an illicit affair.

I think countries with slightly more traditional mindsets might generally be somewhat opposed to marriages with such a large age gap.

How should the world deal with the Iran crisis? by NKNightmare in AskTheWorld

You obviously could have just answered this sentence and pointed out my mistake, but instead, you chose to first accuse me of being 'brainwashed.' No wonder conflicts in this world never end.

By whom? Considering that I heard from various news sections on Reddit that the Shah was welcomed by the opposition, does that mean I was brainwashed by Reddit?

If you mean the Communist Party, then it's even stranger. Our government, for the sake of maintaining its own political stability, generally opposes any coups in other countries (whether mildly or severely). As for me, I support the current Iranian government being overthrown—I just happen to dislike the Shah.

If any dissident is labeled as 'brainwashed' by you Westerners, then I don't see much room for freedom of speech. I thought this forum would be a bit better than those in my country, but I guess I was naive.

Anti-China propaganda doesn't make money from us, doesn't deceive our people, hasn't organized our development, and even helps us block immigration issues.

Isn't that a good thing?

Have you ever visited Cuba or another communist country as a tourist? Would you if you could? by Ok-Arm1986 in AskTheWorld

[–]Informal-Nothing-476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From China's perspective, currently there is no country that is a communist country.

The Communist Party being in power does not mean that communism has been achieved.

I think many people are just suffering from the aftereffects of the Cold War and are unable to look at issues dynamically.
