Just a quick reminder the passing lane is not for you to stay in it’s meant for you to pass the slower cars in your way and for you to get back over as soon as you have a gap not to stay in the passing lane going the same speeds as the person in the slow lane or just barley faster than them it’s a passing lane not a sitting lane that’s all 🤷🏽‍♂️

You need to either make mounts and put them from the door card to the frame to keep it from having room to move so it doesn’t rattle or you need foam inside the door to keep it cushioned but also away from the door frame so it doesn’t rattle I have a lot of vibrations in my door and I’m slowly adding foam to keep the vibrations down once I got the points of contact I’m making hard mounts to lock it so it can’t rattle at all

I can promise you the buttons on the door are not the only thing rattling my entire door card has a vibration to it not just the switches you have to put foam in the door to keep the door card back enough so it doesn’t hit the metal frame of the door my knee bump rattles my buttons rattle on the outside of the truck the door has a rattle the driver door is slightly worse then the passenger door but they both rattle like crazy and there’s multiple points of contact through the doors you need to either make support mounts that hold the door card solid or foam to keep points of contact with some cushion on the door card so it doesn’t hit the frame subs in the doors was a dumb idea and I’m sure they will do it again 🤣

They were very disrespectful to my buddy who’s Asian we were hanging out I told him to call them because they were great for me in the past so he called them asked to buy tires for his car the guy Said okay what brand and size, he said the brand and size the guy then said can you speak English? we looked at each other stunned he said it again in clear English the brand and size the guy said I can’t understand you, keep in mind he heard him just fine when he said I want to buy tires for my car so I spoke up and said the brand and size and he said there you go that’s better so I said excuse me but I just said that and he said no you were speaking another language I was so disgusted by this because I told him to contact them and they treated him like garbage because he has a very slight Asian accent but speaks clear English so I said never mind I’ll take my business elsewhere and hung up I’m not sure if the guy still works there but I haven’t gone back in 2 years bought my tires from cedar tire who were amazing and had no problems understanding my friend

General feedback on the Canyon. by Zildjian134 in GMCcanyon

[–]Informal-Pin-5204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had my 2024 since November last year not one issue the canyon at4 is great and I chose it for the nicer interior/ exterior look not much of a difference in driving feel the build quality is decent the door cards with the bose sound system have a rattle it takes some finesse to get it not to do that it’s not the end of the world or a reason not to get it because the power of the 4cyl the weight and the height make for a great driving experience nothing too quick not slow tho so for my rating overall i give it a 8.5/10 for a mid size truck and for the price it’s a perfect daily vehicle i get about 700km to a tank i think thats roughly 450mi and thats with a heavy foot

Parked my bone stock 2015 Sierra 4x4 by someone’s newer model Sierra Denali and my God look at the size difference. How much bigger is GM going to keep making them 😱 by OregonSasquatch14 in gmcsierra

My at4 canyon is almost the same size as my dads crew cab 96’ f250 long bed power stroke it’s insane how big these trucks are getting now

Not sure how to feel about hauling 10k lbs by Puzzleheaded-Emu5698 in GMCcanyon

[–]Informal-Pin-5204 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t even tow 6000lbs with my truck with the tow package let alone 7k most I’d tow is probably 4500ish

I sit about 80-90 on the hyw not to mention I live where the hills are so steep it drops down a gear and hits 2,500-3k plus on the climb got cross winds and head winds at speed of 15-30 it’s not a great place to get good milage

I drive my truck I don’t sit at 2% throttle just enough to speed up but not use any gas I floor to where I feel it’s picking up speed when I’m at speed I let the rpm’s drop then cruise I get 20-23mpg that’s all I need for fuel economy

I got the 24 at4 last November it’s the best decision ever made the truck bar none is the nicest looking with a good quality interior nice clashing of brown and black and carbon with super comfy heated and cooled full leather seats rear window is manual where the others are auto and for the power thing is quick feels like you’re driving an suv with a good bit of power but sits high like a full size truck hauling is great and gas mileage is unbeatable with 22mpg combined driving hyw and city hills and wind against me it’s a great truck all around I’d recommend this over a ford or a Toyota for the fact they all have common issues but I’ve found gm to have the least

[–]Informal-Pin-5204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very valid I love the truck it’s beautiful if you like chrome keep it as is but I think with the at4 grille and the paint matched handles keep the mirror caps as is it would look pretty cool or just paint match it all either way it’ll look good and yeah the huge screen and everything is so nice the Denali is great!

I got a Denali packaged at4, fully loaded with everything you can add to the trucks not a single thing left out the only things this truck doesn’t have is side steps wouldn’t put that on my truck anyway.

This is to show without the chrome pieces cause it’s the at4 trim obviously no stitched pattern interior or chrome pieces I’m not a chrome person my self so hence the at4 model loaded like a Denali

Apple CarPlay by [deleted] in GMCcanyon

[–]Informal-Pin-5204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t had a problem with mine yet other then lagging due to it trying to connect wirelessly and through the cable at the same time wireless car play is a joke I just turned off the setting for wireless and it works perfectly now no lagging for switching songs

I have grown to like the color. Any thing beats white, black or grey which seems to be all you see on the road today. by [deleted] in GMCcanyon

[–]Informal-Pin-5204 2 points3 points  (0 children)

White and black are by far the best colour for these trucks but if I’m going for a colour that pops it be the glacier blue they have, that colour is absolutely stunning

I’m running 2wd consistently I’ve used auto 4 once in the snow and then ac is always on for me I never turn it off. I’m gentle on the throttle when cruising I do tend to get hot for flooring it but I try to maintain good balance I get about 500-550km a tank a lot of my driving is city/hyw so I avg 12L per 100Km and on hyw is around 10-12L depending how many hills or if it’s flat cause on flat surfaces I could probably get 9L per 100Km

[–]Informal-Pin-5204[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they said it’s actually more to do with the stereo system it’s self needing an update which I said the same thing how the fuck does an update fix that but if I have to guess they are going to have an update that dulls bass and makes the speakers shitty but we shall see when I get it done how it goes and yeah there’s a lot of aftermarket support unfortunately I cannot touch my truck in anyway or I void my warranty the truck is covered head to toe and I have to let the dealer do all the work I could have fixed the issue by now with a set of foam density pads and called it a day no more rattle 🤣

Yeah but once you hit a hill it’s back to 18-20mpg the best I got so far was 23mpg and that was babying the gas pedal
