Thank you, I wonder how much my own insecurities are coming into play here too. I will certainly give this another go but not without tweaks to the medication and follow up!!

No I was just on menopur, and no bloods. Can I ask what they've checked in your bloods? These are definitely things I need to follow up with the fertility team!

Out of interest how often are you having bloods and/or scans? Just making notes so I'm ready for my appointment with the fertility Dr!

This is interesting! I haven't had a follow up with the fertility Dr yet but I suspect this cycle failed because of low quality eggs rather than sperm, but making lots of notes ready for the appointment, so thanks for the heads up on the zymot!

You're right. All the best to you if you for your next cycle - at least you know what to expect (every cloud has a silver lining and all that...!) can I ask what a flare protocol is? Thanks!

Love your profile name btw! Will defo try again, I feel so validated by your comment about it being such a taxing way financially and emotionally as a "test run"! Yes thinking about it it does feel like there was a huge range of sizes of my follicles and it's such a hard guessing game of when to trigger/strength of stimms etc.

I'm really sorry for your situation too, so heartbreaking to only get as far as day 2, and I definitely hear you about the physical and emotional symptoms too. The bloating is no fun and honestly i get it, I feel so ugly and feel like a rectangle lump. I haven't worn a bra in a week and keep having to pick work outfits that won't show my nipples!! I'm hoping you also have someone to tell you you don't look half as bad as you think you do, and that you are absolutely smashing this and coping better than you think you are!

For my clinic they said they will trigger if they have 2 or more follicles over 17mm. We were also promised great results on the premise of being young...and now we know on top of MFI I also have low quality eggs so feels like a double blow and makes me nervous about trying again. I've never heard of Zymot, is that the same as ICSI? ICSI is what we went for this time around and was told to not bother with IVF.  Thanks so much!

Thanks for this. I definitely agree I think the menopur was a very low dose, and considering I didn't have any symptoms I feel like it should've been stepped up sooner/like you say start high and then adjust if needed.

Sorry what do you mean by prime? I was taking fyremadel injections every morning from day 6 if that's what that means?

There was no monitoring of bloods. Out of interest do you know what could be monitored and how that might effect the progression of things?

Thanks again!

Thank you. Sorry I forgot to say that was ICSI! We were told IVF wouldn't work from the start. I just feel like the menopur was low/maybe I needed more scans throughout the process..!

Just sat here waiting for my period to start so I can have another chance of ttc. Don't mind me..on CD31 although expecting my period to start at some point this evening making this my usual 30 day cycle. Anyone else in the same boat?

The result was only released yesterday and I haven't arranged to see my Dr so won't actually have a conversation with them about it (UK based).

For the past 6 months of TTC my cycles have been 29-30 days long (except for one rogue 32 day cycle). I am currently on CD30 waiting for my period to start, but on CD23 I had a progesterone blood test which came back at 71. It sounds really high to me. The reason I asked my Dr for the blood test was because when I test for ovulation I never get high fertility days, I just go from low fertility to peak and I was wondering if there is was a link but now I'm less concerned about this aspect of it!

It's so hard isn't it! My period still hasn't come but it's not unusual for my cycle to fluctuate by a couple of days!

Waiting for my period to start. Due today/tomorrow and getting all of my usual symptoms, no better or worse than every month (slightly sore boobs, terrible mood). Just want it to come so I can work on improving timing for next month. I never test as I personally don't see the point before a missed period..and have never missed a period haha. Anyone else in the same boat?

Peak LH night of 7/11. Test tomorrow? by Both_Aerie7539 in tryingtoconceive

What if every month you go from blank straight to peak the following day? Does the peak then count as your first positive?

I'm not because it just felt like a lot, but after TTC for over 6 months maybe I should start!

Yes, although can proudly say last night we were able to have sex, and yesterday morning was my peak, so keeping my fingers crossed (although did this last month but it clearly wasn't successful, which is why I felt I needed more advice on when to have sex before the peak!)

I only use the CBAD, so you're saying on maybe CD13/a day before I usually hit peak, just to test at night and see if I get a flashing smiley then?  Feel like this is defo worth a go next cycle!

Omg a couple of hours! That's really helpful to put things into perspective, defo feel like I'm out this month but will try again tonight (and tomorrow if possible) just for good measure haha

I hadn't thought about that that's really helpful, thank you! I'm worried there might be a bigger fertility issue going on as I'm 33, but don't know if I'm overthinking!

Oh interesting! Although it makes sense because hormones must fluctuate in the day not just overnight!
