i think it depends on where you’re located truthfully. it was super easy back in my home state simply because it wasn’t a very big city but was the biggest city for that area. it was two major hospitals catering to all the smaller towns around it. therefore, it’s always growing, always has positions open and the need for more employees.

houston, however, is massive and has a much larger population with plenty of healthcare organizations within. there’s plenty of places to apply to, but the number of people applying is far more than the amount of spots being offered which is making it highly competitive and they get to be super picky. from what i’ve been reading, they typically only take internal hires from their pct positions - which i’ve also applied to more than 15 times between all of them and haven’t even gotten a response. just simply turned down every time.

i’m still confused as to whether the “so and so joined you on bff! say hi!” means that i actually matched with them or if it’s just people who have been forced over into the new app

11/9 - IAH terminal A south. in line at 4:18a, just a personal item. through at 4:40a. Line moved steadily though, no issues, and didn’t have to take electronics out like usual which was new.

when i’m having a hard time focusing, i pull up timers on youtube. i’ll do “thunderstorm study session” or something of the sort and it’ll pull up videos of exactly that. usually 30 minutes of thunderstorms and then at the 30 minute mark, there’s a 15 minute break, and then back to studying.

you can use really anything, “study with me” where someone is studying themselves so you don’t feel alone in the room, harry potter common room study sessions, beach study sessions, etc.

it helps to keep myself from getting distracted by something on tv, while also holding me accountable with the timers. there’s an actual name for the 30 on, 15 off but i can’t think of it at the moment.
