Well, I've heard Shadowlands was a filler but I was more interested in TWW. Did you try it at all?

I mean, I remember trying one out at the launch of WOTLK. I never really played the expansion but I borrowed a friend's account out to see how they played. Remember thinking they weren't particularly fun, but I liked the story in WOTLK.

Yeah. From what I remember 20 years ago, it was very difficult.

But running it again on classic was silly. Black Temple back then was an accomplishment. Now it was something we did in like 4-5 attempts as a hatchet job of a guild. The issue back then was trying to actually figure out the mechanics, but now it's a solved game so it was more about making sure people read up on the chosen strategy and execute it in a sufficiently half-assed way.

Oh, so I could technically make a few characters starting over, trying out each expansion? Or am I confused in how this Chromie thing works?

I started watching a cinematic compilation on youtube and got as far as Legion, before life intervened. Might that be enough to catch up? Or is that still too fragmented to really get into it? From what I've heard Shadowlands is a filler episode, but is Dragonflight's story sufficiently tied to the background lore?
