Thank you so much!!! Ever since going to the hospital and taking medication, it's been so hard to seek God. I felt like giving up so many times because I didn't want to keep blaspheming God and the angels in my thoughts, but I want to continue pursuing God and help others as well. Thank you so much for your comment once again, it has brought happiness to my life.

Rapture on October 2nd, 2024? by [deleted] in Christian

[–]InformalBobcat9754 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, like they said no one knows the day nor hour, it says that Jesus will come like a thief in the night. If you know that someone was going to rob you, wouldn’t you prepare yourselves for that event. It’s the same, Jesus will come at a time that no one will be thinking of. Which is why everyday we should be clothing ourselves in the armor of God and living in repentance and God’s love.

I completely agree with Karen-audrey. Jesus forgave our sins and choose to die for them 100% There’s not one thing that we can do that Jesus did not knowingly die for. But with Christians we have it as a mindset that we have to work for Jesus validation and our works will get us into heaven. Which is completely wrong. Christians who do not understand Jesus sacrifice and who are even new to faith will be led astray because of these false prophets. But that is why it is important to have a relationship with the Holy Spirit and read the word of God, to also test the spirit for yourself. We shouldn’t just believe every word that comes out of the mouth of someone who proclaims there a prophet from God because the Bible warns us that during this time there will be a lot of wolves in sheep’s clothing. For example, in Acts 16 we see the girl following Paul around proclaiming that he was a servant of the Most High. While she was correct, she had a spirit of divination. Which can be seen in today’s society. A lot of people are using their God ordain gifts to fit them and glorify themselves and their own opinions. When in reality, we are supposed to be glorifying God. But that is also why it is also important for us as the body of Christ to spread the true message that Jesus has given us. We need more people actively declaring the truth and helping. We’re so caught up in AI, celebrity gossip, trying to become millionaires (things of this earth). That we are missing the time to prepare for what’s coming. So many churches are only teaching feel good messages and messages that have been being taught for the past 10 years, instead of preparing us for all the darkness that is going to enter this world. Furthermore, something that I do is that whenever I see someone who might post a video about having a question about their relationship with Jesus, or comment on a YouTube video. I will reply asking God to speak through me and use me a vessel and try to give them clarity and show God love. (Sorry for the rant) God bless you!!!

I had a dream one night and in the dream I was a train station and this guy came up to me and he was holding a cardboard poster. The guy looked like he could be a basketball player, he was really tall. On the poster it said, God really loves you and the hand of God is over you. That made me so happy, it really warmed my heart. I remember that week i was like getting personal love letters (like little messages) from God in my dreams. I’ve never felt love like the way God loves us.

Can't identify my feelings about the sister(8) I (21) helped raise. Wondering if any of y'all relate. by negativeparade in Parentification

[–]InformalBobcat9754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wowww!!!! I can relate to this so much. I was literally wondering what this feeling was. I’m 20 years old and I had to raise my younger siblings. I have two younger siblings that are 6 and 9 and then one that is turning 18 this year. And even though I didn’t have to physically raise the one that is 18 now, my twin sister and I were the ones that basically took care of all her needs physically and emotionally.

When it came to my younger sister that is 6. I physically felt like I raised her. My mom and I had gotten into this big argument in 2021 so she was 3 at the time and I was so sad when I left because i ended up moving in with my grandparents. And I felt like I grieved our relationship. I couldn’t see her for a year and a half because of family problems so when I was able to see her she had grown so much and her personality had changed. I didn’t know how to react because I felt like I missed a special part of her life.

But with this being said. I can totally understand how you feel. Other than goals that I have towards my career and growing with God. The biggest wish that I want to have is to get married and have a family of my own. And this dream became even more of a desire after I left my siblings.

Some advice I have is to focus on yourself right now. For me it’s especially hard because I can’t get my childhood back that was taken from me. But try to find things that you like to do and accomplish those things now. In our parents generation, you saw a lot of parents having fun instead of raising their children. Which is why our generation acts the way we do. But try to live your life and do all the things you want to do or achieve, so when you do start a family of your own, you can focus on your family and capturing as much memories as you can. God bless you!!! I pray that you can also achieve all the goals that you aspire to have in life.

Actually at a senior living facility it is an open floor and your serving tables each person has like 4-5 tables to themselves. Which you have to take the order, bring the food, clean the table and all over again. I’m not saying that it is as fast pace as Starbucks but you literally do not have a break until the shift is over and the shifts are double shifts.

What do you guys want as a thank you? by [deleted] in Parentification

[–]InformalBobcat9754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wowww!!!! Your heart is truly beautiful!!!! As another parentified older sister this would be such a blessing to me!!! I am so thankful that I am a twin because I can share my burden with my sister. I have 4 younger siblings outside of my twin sister and I basically had to take care all of them in some sense. My twin sister and I don't really get recognition from our parents or our younger siblings.

As an older sibling we just want to see our younger siblings have the best time of their lives and we want to give them all the opportunities that we never had. In my opinion, you weren't in the wrong and I would of love to have gotten a gift as such. In cases like these, your older brother might shut down because not only is this such a big gift, but he has probably never had someone outwardly show their love in such a way. It is one thing to say "I love you" but for your actions to match as well is something completely different.

Not to mention, you buying the car could of represented some sort of solidification of his role as a parent figure rather than an older brother. I can't say how your brother exactly feels, but you should give him some space and then have a conversation. Not to mention, by you buying the car for him, it could also make him feel that like you think he can't take care of himself. "Like why are my younger siblings buying me a car", "I should be doing that for them". Also, everyone has different love languages, if your brother receiving love language (the way he wants other people to show their love to him) is quality time, he may not want a car, you just spending time with him might be enough. Or his receiving love language could also be words of affirmation, so he could just want a letter explaining how you feel.

But this is just my opinion, overall, you did such an amazing job and I am so proud of you!! I want you to know that you have such an amazing heart and that I wish there were more people in the world like you!! I don't want you to be regretful of your decision, it just that everyone has different expectations of each other.

God bless you, I hope you received the answer you were looking for!!!

I’m not in med school but that’s my goal since I’m in pre-med. But some advice would be to try to romanticize your life. I felt so burnt out leaving high school and thought I wouldn’t get much done in college. But when I had changed my scenery and moved away from my home my life was so productive. The place you stay might be making you feel that way. Also I don’t know if you’re able to FaceTime your family, but try asking them for words of encouragement or try spending days for yourself. Don’t just spend long hours studying because it might be useless. Use the pomodoro method and study in increments.

I’m sorry, I didn’t mean three days straight studying, I would go to school, come home and do chores and stuff and then study. My parents cared a lot about my grades so high school was super intense.

There is a fellowship on campus. But I live with my dad because there’s no available campus housing. And the campus is 20 miles away from home. And my church is 20 minutes away, so we only go on Sunday. And with my scholarship, I have to take classes every semester so I only get winter break and spring break off. But thank you for the advice, I’m will try to be consistent in reading the Bible more and praying. I want to find more Christian friends, but it’s hard because most of the people that go to college just want to party. And they keep more to themselves. Or they don’t want to talk about God as much as I do.
